It's interesting that out of all the boys at the dance Velma chose to dance with Shaggy.

I wish they could have had The Three Stooges hit each other over the head, slap each other n the face and poke each other in the eyes like they did in all their movies.

This is one of my favorite episodes. I love the part at the end where Velma is learning to Hula and Shaggy is ogling her.

The villain of that episode could be the ghost of Prince John or the ghost of the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Anyone notice that this episode shows Shaggy being smarter than we tend to think he is? He's no genius but neither is he stupid. In fact he was the one who figured out the Ghost Clown's methods and turned them against him. I'd say he's of average intelligence. Fred and Daphne are of above average intelligence and Velma is of course a genius.

Was Woody K. Wackerstein's design based on Stan Lee?

I notice that when the gang gets scared by the giant puppets, Velma clings to Shaggy rather than clinging to Fred like Daphne does.

What are you favorite Shelma moments?
My top six are:
1. Velma's Hula scene at the end of A Tiki Scare is no Fair (you can tell Shaggy's eyeing her) 2. Shaggy's and Velma's banter in Ghost Riders in Disguise (DC's Scooby-Doo! #6) 3. The end of Scooby's Night with a Frozen Fright (where the gang is dancing) 4. The fact that Shaggy carries Velma's spare glasses. 5. The fact that Velma carries Shaggy's cold medicine 6. The school dance in Jeepers it's the Creeper

The shorts were a very stupid idea. What made Bill and Joe think anybody wanted to watch that kind of Scooby-Doo series. They could have at least done a half hour sitcom with mystery elements instead. Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy could have been agents for his uncle's detective agency but the show could've focused on the sitcom humor more. I'm thinking like Get Smart but Starring Scooby-Doo. Arabian Nights however was the worst Scooby-Doo adventure ever. Even the crappiest fan-fiction is better than that garbage. I know it doesn't make much sense why they would make these. It seemed like very generic cartoons with just Scooby, Scrappy, and Shaggy thrown in as characters. I enjoyed the Puppy Hour episodes were they worked for Uncle Fearless in the Fearless Detective Agency more at the end of the shorts era, but they were still not that great Hanna-Barbera was always ripping off or parodying other shows. There had to be dozens of private eye shows they could have based it on.

Seriously, the later Scooby shows can make ya think that the writers were just spinning a wheel of fortune style wheel to come up with ideas. Whatever the wheel landed on is what they used. I wonder what would happen if they ever landed on Bankrupt. Would they have fired someone? Would lose a turn result in somebody's ideas being ignored?

For some reason Velma strikes me as being an atheist. With many of the things she has said in various movies and episodes, I can't see her believing in any gods.

Just don't buy them all at once. Start with Pirates Ahoy and maybe Chill Out. Then the week after buy the next two. Every week just buy the first two you don't have. Once you have all the DTVs it will be time to buy the telefilms from the 80s. Just skip Arabian nights though.

I have every Scooby Doo movie from 1998 to 2005 on DVD. I was wondering which of the newer or older movies I should get on DVD to add to my collection. ALL of them from 2006 to the newest one. They're not masterpieces but they are fun to watch. Except for the live action ones and that puppet one.
