So after establishing a consistent formula, Season 2 has to go and change it on me. When Scooby-Doo faints in Episode 5, Haunted House Hang-Up Shaggy wakes him up with these
This one looks like a slightly dark Captain Crunch. Also remember how earlier I mentioned the whole reverse reward thing? That's fixed now. Maybe it's like kibble, where you get a box of various shapes and... flavors? Who knows...

Seems like every iteration has a different take on the iconic treat, and I thought it would be educational in a trivial way to do some research going over the variety of color changes on the box, changes to the snack itself, and maybe some of my two cents if I have any. This is in chronological order by the way.
The Scooby Snack is first mentioned in the introduction (when it was given lyrics), "And Scooby-Doo if you come through you're gonna have yourself a Scooby Snack! (That's a fact!)" However as we all know, in the show it happens in the opposite order usually; instead Scooby will be given the dog treat before he does his bold act which is a bit confusing when you actually think about it, but I think most of us have come to accept it. The first appearance of the Scooby Snack is in Episode 4, Mine Your Own Business. Here, it's shown off as a small light brown nugget. EDIT: This was not the first appearance, I correct this later in the thread. It seems to have a small curved indention in the center, leading me to believe it's shaped like some sort of bean. The box doesn't show up until episode 12, Scooby-Doo and Mummy Too. What's wrong? You don't remember the box in Where Are You? That's ok, no one did.
The Scooby Snack Box is just a blue rectangular prism with "Scooby Snacks" scratched at the top, probobly in Sharpie Marker. It's literally the laziest design for the box Here's the snack in that episode as well, still the same bumpy shape.

I think if they're gonna make a plug for the justice league movie they could at least make good references to the team up comics or at the very least the new movies episode
EDIT: It seems it isn't out yet, but Justice League is. I am glad I was wrong, this gives me hope

the format has been ariound for well over a century, and Scooby himself has been around for nearly 50 years. i see no reason scooby wont be still around 50 years from now. that's a good estimate, i'd love to see what 100 years of scooby doo would look like

That's a bit negative.... Also sorry if I upset the thread earlier, that was not my intent in any way. Namely, this one.

Regarding Guess Who, I have come up with what the direction could be. The Last call back to New Movies we had was Night of The Living Doo, a parody written by Chris Casper Kelly; who you probobly know as a writer for Adult Swim. I think a smart move would be to put Adult Swim writers in for some of the crew. Mixing the writing styles could be intresting, while making sure that people familiar with Scooby Doo, like Micheal Ryan or Glenn Leopold and people who are experienced in humor focused shows are collaborating to make episodes happen. After a long time of scooby trying to be serious and spooky, a going back to the comedy roots that made it a hit sounds good in theory. If the goal is still to make Scooby-Doo funny (like it was for Be Cool Scooby-Doo) this would be what I imagine the next step would be; especially since the child demographic was second to the most popular reason Be Cool isn't well received. As far as specific people, Dave Willis is the first one that comes to mind especially in regards to him being very familiar with Hannah Barbera (which could also relate back to going to the roots). For now that's just a theory, and I might take it back after re-watching New Movies.

I'm curious what you have to think but I've been feeling pretty philosophical about the direction of the brand. Cliché is a word that means something that is so overused it becomes expected. A story arc like the hero's journey, character stereotypes like the damsel in distress, or a setting or theme like a distopia disguised as a utopia can be novel and engaging but if too many stories use them it becomes cliché. Scooby-Doo is in an intresting position, because it's one of the most infamous brands to use clichés. The classics; Where Are You, New Movies, Scooby and Scrappy, use a main story cliche known as situational irony. This is where you have the story go to great lengths to make you believe something but ultimately the plot twists at the end, leaving you with a man in a mask. However if you use this so much it becomes expected, is this really situational irony any more? Scooby Doo on Zombie Island famously explored this in that the first half of the movie we as Scooby fans (and in the montage) become very accustomed to the bogus and the scam but when the unexpected, becomes un-unexpected you're blown away. The scene also immerses you into the characters a ton more but that's a topic for another thread. This is absolutely genius, but what more can we really do to explore the meta game and expand on Scooby-Doo's entertainment value; and what could the next game changer for Scooby-Doo?

I'm adding information to the Scoobypedia board, and thought this place would be a good source of information. From what I can tell, Mystic Manor is comprised of the mansion, the hedge maze, graveyard, and fishing village; along with the abandoned areas that are still on the property like the shipwrecks and secret areas. The fishing village is actually one of the more populated areas, according to the manual, "... which overlooks a small fishing village. The people from the village have all packed up there belongings and left town because the whole area has become completely taken over by... Yikes... monsters!" "Ever since the Mastermind showed up, there's not a villager in site, Now the fishing village is a mess..." I would also imagine lots of the hedge maze is usually inhabited due to the greenhouse, fences, and signs; maybe to just accommodate more looks for the mansion? "Professor Graham is not only a famous inventor, but he's also got quite a green thumb." The sea cliffs have man made things aswell, but it's alot less there, maybe it's used for mining? Geographically speaking I've managed to get a few vague hints. With it being a manor, that implies it's somehwere in Europe or at very least the Old World. The architecture on the mansion seems gothic though, so I doubt it's asian/slavic/african regionally. We know it's located near the ocean, due to the Fishing village. Shaggy and Scooby make sea-food jokes during the beginning of the game's cutscene so there's that as well. Other than that though I can't find much of anything on it's geographic spot, and I doubt there's a specific location but more details would be nice.

What is 'it' aside from a link to discord? ('it' meaning this post or the discord?) I wouldn't have posted unless I genuinely felt that a Scooby-Doo discord was a good idea. Proboards is pretty dated and while it does keep things archived better than discord, discord has voice chat, better visual layout, and a lot more casual vibe to it. Essentially on the server there's a main channel where we just chat about whatever's on the mind (preferably scooby-related), a channel that bot-posts stuff from reddit, and off-topic (self-explanatory). Roles are based on whatever your favorite series is, and you can get server points for posts.

...WB wanted to experiment with turning BCSD into a two 11 minute episodes series ... ...they would get, contextually, where in a Scooby story we were. I was far from out of ideas. Moncrief came to me for help on the second 11 minute ep I like the idea of condensing the Scooby formula. In fact, If Be Cool really wanted to speed up the pace as they say, that's the best way to do it; cut out all the filler. I might even ask why they didn't do this in the first place. The only issue I see is most of the heart of Scooby-Doo is in filler. The charming, goofy, repetitiveness is something a good chunk of the fans have come to love and I don't know how the Be Cool team would go about it in a way to appeal. So long as the writing doesn't become lessened it might be refreshing. I can only stand Be Cool for about 10 minutes anyway BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA Seriously though, I'm very open ideas. New ideas have come to some of the greatest things and some of the worst things but really I'm interested to see something happen.
