Mystery Begins is another example of the 'tool shed' machine, except its less hardware and more gardener tools. The bobble head is of Huckleberry Hound, you'll thank me later. As a side note, the song shaggy accidentally turns on is going to be a fun witch hunt for me, and I will edit when I find out.

the guns and the poses with people in the background blown up, reminds me of the starwars posters.

Well since this thread was started on episodes and movies I figure some variety is due. Here's Night of 100 Fright's version of the van. This is a good example of the What's New style, even down to the sound effects in here. Cleverly, this very pretty mock up is actually a functioning main menu as well; which is why you see labels on stuff like "sound effects" or "music volume". This is extremely immersive, combining a familiar location and a simple way to adjust your options. It even shows these subtle hints that Shag and Scoob hang out here, even if you didn't know that. Usually you wouldn't be able to see a modeled chair and tables, and you gotta give credit for running the extra mile just in case you got a camera angle in the transition. Table and chairs are something not many iterations show off, though I imagine the two would prefer that than sitting on the floor. (which they do) There's a ton more to see here because of Dolphin's free cam and the fact that it's 3d modeled rather than just in a few seconds of an episode, the other angles you can see it from are here imgur.com/a/Kp9aq

Similar to my Scooby Snacks History, I'm going to be going over the illusive interior of the van! You can see it multiple different times, and just like with Scooby Snacks it seems to change every time it's shown off.
As far as the shows go, we get a peek at it in What a Knight for a Knight.
Many times, the van will be shown off like a tool shed like it is here. Inside we can see lots of Fred's gadgets: a lantern, first aid kit, wooden hammer, the works. There's shelves and hooks to hang stuff and everywhere else seems to be endless variety of tools. However, this is just the tip of the iceburg. A deeper look into the Mystery Machine we can see is in Spooky Space Kook.
This is another common version of the inside. We can see the shelves are still there but it seems to have become a little bit more spacious than before. Shaggy and Scooby are known to occupy the rear of the vehicle, so why wouldn't it double as a makeshift kitchen? However the van has been known to take a third role in recent years.
This what I like to call the What's New interior, due to it's very 'new' vibes it gives off. It can be seen like this many times but I think I should stick to common examples such as Zombie Island.
TV monitors, keyboard, and usually some sort of meter like a frequency recording or a sonar monitor that makes you go, "Wait why would they need that?" At the same time though it IS aesthetically pleasing and I do enjoy seeing all the different setups.
Those are just the common types. I'll add more specific accounts as before and hopefully I can get a good catalog.

Ok maybe I can't stick to chronological order... Going back to season 1, the snack is in the very first episode. Though they're still bean-like as before. I wonder if it was always supposed to look like this. Maybe all the bean ones are at the top of the box and the variety ones are under them.

Look, I know scooby doo isn't exactly the end all be all of cartoons but this could have been done way better than it was. it sounded ok on paper but the execution was hardly as good. 3/5 you tried. favorite episode was the baseball one because I didnt actually know they used an organ to do that previously. It's place in the scoobyverse is near Pup Named and Alien Invaders; somewhere in the middle of the list between good and get a clue.

It's sad that his final months was involved in a family feud. It was no game show. Casey is now safe from harm by his cruel wife. Surprising that Jean never got arrested yet. oh man i forgot about that old wound... she was charged with elder abuse so at least she was haunted by her actions.

Does Scooby and/or Shaggy need Scooby Snacks in order to progress the story? Do Shag and Scoob preform a skit to distract the monster chasing them? (usually a barber shop, restaurant waiting, or doctor appointment) Is there an additional dog? (Dum/Scrappy) Multiple or single monster(s)? Is there a small animal in the mystery? [WAY S1E1 had a frog, WAY S2E7 had a mouse, etc) Does the mystery begin with scenes of the gang or villain?
I'll let you know if I come up with more, good thread here!

In episode 8, Don't Fool With a Phantom The orange with beige stripe design for the box appears. You might recognize this color scheme, because it was later used in Zombie Island. So that's why they were stale! i.imgur.com/jdytqTm.gifv The snacks here are really small, they seem almost like a powder in this episode. Scooby Snacks sure to change a lot.

I would be interested in the style and genre aswell, however I don't want you to feel obligated to tell because that opens up the doors for "HEY YOU SHOULD DO THIS." and people who do that are horrible because you obviously already have an idea. Whatever you pursue I hope you do it well and you fulfill your artistic goals.

I think you probably enjoy Matthew Lillard more since Casey Kasem died in 2014. and for the record, he left way before he died, the dude needed a retirement

I think you probably enjoy Matthew Lillard more since Casey Kasem died in 2014. Who do you see casting better? Billy West sounded odd, no disrespect to the man. Scott Innes is a commercial voice actor at best, keep him in 200X the video games and off anything else please. Nick Palatas was a mistake imo. I can't think of anyone who hasn't tried Shaggy is better than those two. I'm curious to see what a Frank Welker Shaggy would be just because that was the role he signed up for in the first place but i dunno how that'd work outside experimentation Who would your contender for non-lillard shaggy be? I cant think of one really

This is the board for the Gold Key comics I hope. Anyhow, the van is pretty different here, and I gotta say, I like a change. The White and Blue look nice together (except on this site) and pink and green are opposites. It's a nice color pallet, and I wonder if this color scheme was chosen for a reason, or might be used again. Other small differences like the lettering being straighter to match the easier drawn shape of the van itself are nice touches as well. What do you think about the new (or I guess it's old now heh) look for the Mystery Machine?
