I really cracked up at some of the anime cliches in Curse of Kaniaku. The disguise scene in Renn Scare killed me too.

I loved this episode. The greek mythology really punched my nostalgia, as I used to read about greek mythos all the time. Nice monster choice as well!

Another favorite, possibly top 5! I love how the monsters in season 2 are super unique, great job JCB! Oh, and the chase scene was pretty intense, especially with Fred's life actually being threatened. Great job!

All fair critiques of this episode. I wish you could have seen the original Velma/Daphne story as I conceived it because I felt how they changed it didn't really fit the personalities of the characters. I really wanted Daphne to have a huge problem with going viral because she values her uniqueness and wouldn't be pleased with everyone being like her. I tried really digging into the psychology of Velma and Daphne, but I guess WB found it too complex and nuanced - so in simplifying it, the mystery became more of the focus and it simply wasn't that great of a mystery. The show is about the characters and the mysteries are there as contexts to explore character, not the main focus. It's always nice when people say they enjoyed the mystery or were surprised by who the bad guy was, but I think it's pretty clear that aspect was never something I really cared too much about. "It was too easy to guess who did it." isn't even a criticism to me, although. ideally, it's best when all aspects of the show are satisfying. This sounds like this would have made the episode much better! Oddly enough, I loved this episode. This is probably my favorite so far, especially with the jokes. I loved the DDR scene, it was just so funny. The chase scene was great too, especially with the brief change of animation style and the part where the detective's eye flashed. I have to say, this was one of the funniest episodes yet!

So far my two favorites are Some Fred Time and Saga of the Swamp Beast. My least favorite is currently Grand Scam since I still have little interest in sports episodes, though it still had it's moments.

I've always heard of Supernatural being basically an "adult Scooby show" though I've never seen it. Makes sense that they'd do a crossover since they do similar things. I'm surprised that CW is airing it though and not Cartoon Network. Supernatural is definitely the opposite of kid-friendly so it makes sense it's on CW. I'm excited since I've watch Supernatural forever and it just seems crazy.

I enjoyed these a lot.
As far as Some Fred Time goes, I feel it is one of the best episodes. The monster was a cool throwback to the Sharkmen/Demon Shark, with new features that made it even more interesting. The premise of the gang keeping the mystery away from Fred worked very well, and I enjoyed Fred's personality in the episode a lot. The best scene in the episode either had to be when the gang finds Fred after running from Dorsalfoot or the chase scene. Overall a great episode, probably in my top 3 as well.
Though Some Fred Time is a bit better for me, I enjoyed There Wolf too. The werewolf's design was pretty good, especially when compared to the other werewolves appearing in the Scooby Doo franchise. I loved the side characters in the episode as well, and the main doctor's running joke gave me a few good chuckles. The mystery was also pretty well thought out, and unlike Some Fred Time, I was completely stumped on the culprit. Overall a great episode.
In the end, I'm excited for the rest of season 2. This is definitely going to be an awesome season!

That sucks. From the two episodes I have seen (Some Fred Time and There Wolf), Season 2 seems like it'll blow Season 1 out of the water, and I loved Season 1. Thanks, yeah, I think season 2 does blow season 1 out of the water, but you all know that. The first 2/3 of season 1 had a bunch of barely saving certain episodes at the 11th hour and always being behind and dealing with WB trying to control things when they should have trusted us, etc. It was a mess. Once they loosed the reigns and let Zac and I just make the show we wanna make, things started improving. There are some GREAT episodes in season 1, but season 2 goes down the rabbit hole in terms of Zac and I trying weird stuff, exploring the characters, pushing the humor and adventure, experimenting, just taking the show out on the road, opening it up and seeing what it can do. It, hopefully, was not ruined by hamfisted, ignorant edits and ego-driven changes once Zac and I left, but even then, it should be pretty interesting. Based on the scripts (and if they followed them and executed them correctly), I'd put it up against any season of Scooby Doo in the its entire 50 year run. Big words, I know, but we killed ourselves on it and really tired to make the best, funniest show on television. It seems like you had more creative control, especially with the humor and plot in general. This especially shows in parts of the new episodes like with Fred solving the three mysteries in the beginning of SFT and the side characters in TW. On a side note, I also noticed that the monsters look a bit scarier than usual, does this have to do with the creative control as well?

Did you end up having an episode with the Hex Girls? Almost. I pitched one for all of you guys who requested it, but WB decided to make one of our episodes into two 11 min eps instead of our usual one 22 mines (just to see if we could try an third season of 11 min eps), so my Hex Girl episode got nixed. Then we heard no third season and I had had to do a series finale, so I wanted to focus it more on the gang and reach some kind of resolution on certain things, which left no room for the Hex Girls. Almost, though. Almost. I tried. That sucks. From the two episodes I have seen (Some Fred Time and There Wolf), Season 2 seems like it'll blow Season 1 out of the water, and I loved Season 1.

To be honest, a BCSD film would be pretty cool. It'd also be refreshing since all Scooby Doo movies lately have had one continuous style, and the BCSD style would be awesome. I doubt it would happen, but I would love to see more monsters in BCSD form.

Same. Sucks though because 23-25 didn't include intros. Yeah, mine too. It's almost as if we have the same copies! (I'm not sure if anybody else will get this joke) Lol probably not. Who knows though.
