I loved a lot of episodes, but mostly "Where There's A Will, There's a Wraith" because of its classic Where Are You feeling. I don't have a 'worst' episode, they're all great. Except for one or two which I just found okay.

Party Like It's 1899 was the best IMO, just because of the great character development. Poodle Justice was by far my least favorite due to the fact that the jokes seemed to be written for a much younger audience.

Glad to see "Party" getting so much love.A personal favorite of mine. None of my real favorites are on this list yet, though, so I'll wait until more are up there.

I've taken out the poll so it isn't limited to options and anybody can just post on this thread to say what their favorite is.

I really love area 51 and be cold, scooby doo. I also love mystery 101 and Eating Crow. I love a lot of the episodes but I know I really love these.

So far my two favorites are Some Fred Time and Saga of the Swamp Beast. My least favorite is currently Grand Scam since I still have little interest in sports episodes, though it still had it's moments.

Not got best/least I'm still catching up on the new episodes but generally the more prominent Daphne's 'obsession of the day' is in the show then generally the less I enjoy them. For me they often are more of a distraction and hinder the show more than they help. And 'Party like its 1889' - was like nails down a chalkboard to me but for very specific reasons so it would be unfair to say it's my worst though I do think it was a lackluster episode.

Always appreciate your strong opinions (good and bad), Russm, and always understand where they're coming from. Thanks so much for giving the show a chance to even have opinions. I totally see how, in final execution, how Daphne's Du Jours can end up being a distraction and overstay their welcome. The scripts are written very organically and everything is there for a reason. If, in execution, the right tone is not found with Daphne or there is an attempt to make it bigger or broader (or, God forbid, "simplify" her story and remove the nuance), it can seem like too much. Without having me there in screenings and voice records, those things easily spiral out of control and lose their context and don't show the place within Daphne from where the thing is coming - so it ends up feeling random and just crazy/annoying. This is one of the reasons I slowly started changing Daphne to reveal her character in other ways, though she still fell prey to those who simply didn't understand her. This reaches its final blow to Daphne as a character in this show in the 4th to last episode - the first of our experimental "11 minute" episode, where WB allowed someone else (a non-writer) to write and have complete control over the episode. Daphne does something in that episode that is against everything her character is about and it's horrifying. In fact they all do. Such a shame. Either way, thanks so much for you feedback. Again, it's been greatly appreciated and interesting. JCB

Again, it's been greatly appreciated and interesting. JCB So the last 4 episodes will all be 11mins or just 1 of them? Who knows how they'll end up airing them (I'm done trying to figure THAT out), but, in terms of how we created them, the 3rd to last episode was comprised on 2 11-minute episodes. The first one was written and directed alone by the guy who took over for Zac. The characters and comedy are nothing like what we had established for two years and both Daphne and Velma do certain things that, not only had we built into them in other episodes that they would NEVER do or think, go completely against the grain of WHO THEY ARE. I wrote a stern letter to WB management saying, in particular, one scene with Daphne was sadistic and actually harmful to children and people who suffer a specific mental illness - and had no place in our show. I was ignored. They thought it was "funny." It was not. It was horrifying. The second 11 minute I was allowed to have a hand in the writing and it's slightly better and on character, but then many liberties were taken with my script and ideas and it ended up being a missed opportunity and a waste of time. Don't even get me started on the two-part series finale I had been planning since early in the first season. The first half was only slightly ruined, the second half is the perfect metaphor for the whole way BCSD was handled. They didn't get or care about what we had created and nurtured that made BCSD great - and went out with a whimper that wrapped NOTHING up and focused totally in the wrong place. So, so disheartening.
