Home improvement personalities? That would be something hilarious to see. But very niche, if you don't watch those shows, and remember there is a viewing public outside of the US where many of those shows will never air, then they are just unknowns given extra air time (at the expense of the gang) for no reason.

I doubt it'll come out in the UK in time for me to voice an opinion but I'd go for no to pretty much all of them.

Well this is just an guess on my part, but DC Comics are putting in a lot of effort in with the HB title. The Flintstones has been very well received especially for its social commentary and Future Quest has also been well received. They are also linking some titles into the wider DC Universe, so far Top Cat and Banana Splits are the ones going in. It might be that DC have decided to have some fun and put out some titles that will appeal to the nostalgia crowd as well as giving their writers something truly different to work on. How this links into SCOOB we can't say but it is something to consider as a possibility.

So we have Space Ghost Snagglepuss Future Quest Wacky Races - with a rumour that a Dick Dastardly and Muttley title is in the works The Jetsons Top Cat The Flintstones Banana Splits Scooby Doo
and maybe a couple of others I've forgotten, all these being rebooted by DC Comics, all increasing the awareness of these characters, getting them in the public eye. Now it may be coincidence but it also increases brand awareness and gets some of these public eye, so they could be laying the groud-work for S.C.O.O.B

Was there anything to say just how bad Velma's eyesight is without glasses?

All in all just a strangely drawn variant cover.

Velma getting accosted by a thug! Nice That's Rufus P. Dinkley(?) her brother in the tower. Guessing this is where Velma 'Double Tap' Dinkley gets to work out some of her family tension.

there are times where scrappy works well. like in boo brothers I agree I've seen the odd episode where he works, mostly because they have turned his volume down and had him interact with the rest of the gang in a more grown-up manner. But for me he is more of a miss than a hit. He's also linked with the removal of Fred and Velma which is something I was never happy with, even as a child.

in other words, no enough stuff going on to keep peoples interest Essentially the balance of the book is inconsistent. Action focused books need exposition to join the dots and exposition driven books need action to move things along and there's rarely been the correct mix with the general criticism being the book is too heavy on the exposition and talking heads, especially for an apocalypse themed book. So titles like Black Monday Murders or Ether are more of story driven but have action that moves things along and keeps the pace moving whereas titles Batgirl or Horizon need exposition to set-up scenes and explain things. We're coming to the end of the second Trade Paperback (issue 12) and finally we are heading out to try to fix things. Now looking back at the solicitations this was what was in for issue #5 This is now going to happen in issue 12, that's 7 issues later than first solicited. That's a lot of extra stuff to put in and possibly at short notice. My theory is that they had a one arc story planned out, perhaps 12 issues long, the initial success of the book meant DC decided to put some more stories in, explore some of the ideas that had been developed while producing the arc. So we're now picking up where issue 5 was originally meant to be. Perhaps the pacing will now pickup and they'll charge to the end and save the world. But I can forgive it a lot as it gave us Velma dressed as Red Sonja.

Scooby Apocalypse features on various DC feeds in twitter, tumblr and youtube. The fundamental problem is the pacing of the story, it has rarely got out of first gear.

Alternative cover for #12 And we're back to the weapons Daphne and Fred had in issue #1 Really not sure what has happened to Fred's face and a number of other odd things (Daphne's face looks a bit odd and something strange is happening to Velma's skirt.)
