Well the specials didn't do too bad in the charts (chart position, title, sales figures)
97 Green Lantern Space Ghost Special 25,149 98 Suicide Squad Banana Splits Special 24,834 126 Adam Strange Future Quest Special 18,134 147 Booster Gold Flintstones Special 15,795
I would say that what DC is doing with the HB titles is a lot better than what WB is doing with them. There again I'm going to guess that it is a lot cheaper and quicker to produce a comic that it is an animated episode hence the risk (i.e. cost) is lower.

One comment I've read regarding the Scrappy side-plot is that the kid will be(come) essentially Flim-Flam. What do folks think of that possible twist?

I really want to be excited, but issue 6 was the last time this comic met my expectations. Issue #10 was quite interesting, but it should have had a Frank Cho variant cover featuring just Velma 'Red Sonja' Dinkley.

Will it be excitement or just another pile of talking heads talking about what the nanites were supposed to do? To be honest I'm not holding my breath. Mixed feelings. At one level it is again just another bunch of talking heads repeating the same material (but this time they are walking up the stairs) like the readers have the attention span of goldfish but we do get to some kind of cliff-hanger at the end of the main story. There's also a nod to SD:MI, some interesting stuff on the monsters and their developing culture and the Scrappy short is IMO great. But the main story, uhh it just needs a kick up the a** to get it going.

so thats were your cornea gets progressively thinner. not too many people get that only about 1 in every 2000 do. No, kerataconus is where your cornea delaminates and becomes distorted and no longer focusses correctly. In terms of focussing the cornea does the heavy lifting with the lens doing the fine tuning.

Those are some very thick contacts I have kerataconus which is why they are unusual lenses, I have to get these via hospital not your regular optician. You would not want to be out solving a mystery wearing these.

Well I now know why she doesn't wear contacts :-) Say hello to my new rigid gas permeable contact lenses (yay NHS!) - shame they didn't have them in Velma sweater orange. -15.5 on the left, -7.5 on the right.

Google's your friend. She and Bobby (Flay) are famous chefs that have several TV shows on the Food Network in the U.S. I live in the UK so that still means nothing to me and so a show where she is a guest star would have no extra appeal. The point being that celebrity is a very nebulous thing these days. Still, probably better than Gordon "Potty Mouth" Ramsey.
