Is the Uk and other European countries following the same suit or is Warner's international equivalents acting very differently than the US one? As I said before, in Italy they discontinued the home media releases for Scooby after Mask of the Blue Falcon. Also Beach beastie was just a tv release. And Music of the vampire too, they skipped it and then broadcasted it together with all the other movies coming after Mask of the blue Falcon, the Mystery Map and Beach Beastie in one month in 2016. Now they usually follow the US release date tp broadcast them on Boomerang, either very close to the date or a month or few months later. And they also put them in streaming to buy or rent everywhere.
I feel like in a way the Warner Archive program in itself probably did damage the need for international versions, outside of foreign language dubs. As technically speaking with Warner making those region free, they are "grey market" if they are being sold to people in countries where they don't own the rights to that specific project. While in Scooby this is irrelevant given they do own him everywhere, but it is true for other things in their library.
I also did some more thinking on my own to put everything that happened in the last few years into the worldview that CN itself is on the chopping block and I got to admit everything does fit nicely into that narrative. Perhaps I was a bit foolish not to have considered that possibility earlier. But obviously now we have to see if that was AT&T's plan, if it is going to still be the plan for Warner Bros Discovery.

This sounds very meta and I'm interested in seeing what it's like.

Final Scooby DTV?? So no more Scooby DTV movies after this? What’s your source? I find this odd because my friend is working on a DTV Scooby movie slated to come out in 2023 and it’s definitely not the Courage one. Well I think he meant that it’s the last movie going direct to video ans the next one will be on tv and streaming. I actually prefer it like that, also they don’t need to spend money on producing the physical copy and for the rollout, so they could save up to make more Scoobys. Also, since you mentioned it, can we know more about this 2023 DTV lolol. Your fault, you mentioned it so you’re gonna get us hungry for more I have a feeling they'll produce a physical copy anyway. Not every family in the US has HBO max. I'm sure future direct to video movies will get physical copies eventually

This sounds like it'll be very meta and very fun. Also hoping that one poster earlier in the thread is right about them being done kicking Scrappy whenever he's referenced. Looking forward to this!

Damn, looking forward to Karamo giving the gang friendship advice and Janel hosting!! Love her from Pretty Little Liars and To All the Boys. Wonder if they are gonna mention Iain Armitage voiced young Shaggy in “Scoob!” or just treat him as a celeb. Also Tony Cervone and Mitch Watson??? Yes please!! The best modern Scooby producers and directors. Also that Jerry guy is an animation historian, which is cool. Weird Al coming in again sounds cool, tho that Olivia girl is a guest just for The Cw to promote their Kung Fu show cuz that’s literally all she’s done lol. Oh well, horizontal integration matters I guess. Idk who the Saturday Night Live woman is but I hope she’s funny at least. But yeah can’t get over Karamo, Janel, Tony and Mitch! 😍

I was wondering where the announcement for this was, since they announced it as airing late 2021 and we're only a few months away from the end of 2021. Thanks so much for sharing this, Hippyboy86. The guest stars are super interesting, particularly Weird Al, Tony and Mitch, and Iain Armitage. I also am wondering whether or not they'll say he played young Shaggy in SCOOB! as well. And of course I'm quite excited for Karamo. Should be interesting to see how they work him into this special.
Also, I think it's really interesting they have Jerry Beck in this special. He's the same animation historian who made the post on Facebook earlier this year that people were freaking out over because they misinterpreted it to mean that WB was halting all DVD production.

I sadly missed this - did they put it up on either HBO Max or the CW app? Would love to watch it if it's up anywhere.

It's reairing this Thursday on the CW network (I believe at 8pm/7pm central but I'd check your local listings just to be sure).
