Hello my friends on this forum,
It is with great sadness that I inform you second season will be my last on the series. I was there from the beginning with Zac Moncrief (with whom I created this version of the legendary series) and it has come time for me to move on to other projects. The good news is that, as I've often stated, they have yet to air what I consider the best episodes. The second half of the first season and the entire second season is superior in every way - we do such fun, incredible, juicy, cool, character-driven storytelling and exploration that will amaze, shock and, hopefully, make you laugh until you cry.
I am extremely proud of what we accomplished on this show and I'm so thankful WB allowed me to push these characters and comedic tone into places never attempted before. Thank you all for your support and constructive criticism. Thank you for hearing me out and for giving this show a chance. I still believe in my heart once they finally air the remainder of what Zac and I began through the end of the second season, one day this will be looked back on as the best, funniest, most dimensional and intelligent Scooby series of all time.
I don't know what the future of the series will be yet, but that will probably depend on YOUR (the audience's) reaction to what you're going to be witnessing over the next year or so.
Either way, It's my absolute pleasure interacting with you all and I thank you for your kindness, generosity, honestly and for making me feel welcome in your wonderful forum. I consider you my fiends and I plan to continue keeping up with this forum and will, as always, be available (as time permits) to chat and answer your questions as they air the rest of the season.
I can't wait to see your reaction to what's coming up.
I hope, in the end, when you look back to my very first posts here as I attempted to explain what we were trying to accomplish that you all agree that we actually accomplished it. That you can you all see the love and heart we put into this series.
Thank you, JCB

Thanks for the show, there were a lot of good things that we've seen the humour and stories have been a refreshing change. Unfortunately Cartoon Network doesn't seem to care in the show, or anything else that isn't 'their' shows which is really letting the show down - we really want to react to the show but we can't as they're not airing it I do hope that your next project goes well and is treated with more respect by the publisher than CN has treated BCSD.

I wonder if it'll be as good without you. Well, I'd like to thank you for this wonderful series, jcb!

I'm really sorry to hear that! I've enjoyed this series quite a bit and very much look forward to seeing the remainder of Season 1 and Season 2 once it airs. You and everyone else involved with the show have done a fantastic job with this series by creating some really good character-driven stories, making the series go in a more comedic direction, and enhancing the characters and their personalities for the better. Thank you so much for creating this wonderful, funny series for us Scooby fans to watch, and for answering all our questions on the forum. I hope I can speak for most of us that you helped give us a better view of the show and helped some of us give the show more of a chance than we would have otherwise. Thank you, for all you have done for the Scooby franchise, and I hope you get as much joy writing your next show as you did out of this one. I consider you my fiends and I plan to continue keeping up with this forum... Although I hope you don't consider us as fiends lol (sorry that was way too good to pass up) .

I wonder if it'll be as good without you. Well, I'd like to thank you for this wonderful series, jcb! Well, I'm not sure if there will even BE more BCSD, but if there is and they do it without me, I can assure you it will be a completely different show and, in my opinion, nowhere NEAR as good. This show was as close to an auteur, creator-driven series as WB has ever made with one of their key properties. Zac and I made this show from scratch and I wrote 95% of every word (although I had no control of what others changed after the script stage (usually for the worse, as far as I'm concerned - because I'm very protective of the characters and tone). After getting to know the show, I think even you guys will be able to point to dialogue or scenes and say, "Whoa, JCB mustn't hated that when they changed it!"

From what I understand, the rest of the series WILL all be aired. I'm not sure exactly how, when and where, but you WILL be able to see it - and soon. I can't say I was thrilled with CN's handling of it, but once they DO air it, I can only hope it gathers some momentum and more people catch on and spread the word. We knew from the start that CN has some weirdness where non-CN shows are concerned, so this was not unexpected. But it'll get out there and it will gather a life of its own. People WILL find it and it'll be worth the effort.

Wow! I wasn't expecting to read that you would be leaving the show. I have to say that I hope they don't continue the show without you. It could never be the same and I don't think they could live up to your "creation!"
Thank you so much for being a part of this forum and answering our questions! Thank you for giving us a high quality, very humorous Scooby show! And thank you for giving us a heads up that you are leaving so we aren't surprised when it is posted elsewhere. Good luck with your future projects! You are always welcome here and please let us know what you will be doing in the future!

That sucks you are leaving the show. I've really enjoyed it so far. Thanks for such a hilarious show, and thanks for taking questions from us Scooby fans. I just wish CN hadn't botched airing the show so badly.

As sad as I am, I am glad that you got to work on season 2 fully. So far BCSD has been amazing, so I am so happy we will get the rest soon. I guess you could say it would be cool if it aired soon? All jokes aside, this show is hilarious, and I'm glad you put your own unique take on the Scooby Doo Franchise. We will definitely miss your work, as the show is as I said before, very funny. Good luck on future projects, and I'll be happily waiting for the next season of BCSD!

Dude I'm so disappointed, but I hope you move onto bigger and brighter things.I have no doubt that in the future Be Cool will be looked upon as that amazing show no one gave a chance because of the animation, and they'll all be begging for your return. Thanks for helping create a full comedic Scooby-Doo show as I love seeing the brand brought to different places and this is my favourite version of Scooby since 13 Ghosts. Some episodes had me in stitches, Scary Christmas and Area 53 are some of the best episodes of anything I've seen period. Oh and your version of Fred is amazing! He's just like the original, but you know with a decent personality. I really hope they don't continue the show without you as it seems to be your baby, plus they aren't treating the baby well as is so I doubt they'll continue it with someone else. :/ I do look forward to what team Scooby does next, but I'll happily watch the rest of Be Cool with a box of tissues for tears of laughter in the mean time! I can only imagine what the other episodes are like if you think they're better than Area 53 and Scary Christmas! Can I just say you were truly a gentleman on the forum and thanks so much for the fan interaction. You didn't have to do that, but you should be praised for doing so. Be sure to keep us updated with your future projects!, if they're half as good as Be Cool we'll tune in!

It was pure pleasure for me to chat with you guys and I'm so pleased you enjoyed my take on these characters. I hate being a broken record, but I simply can't wait for you to see what we do with Fred in the next season and a half. All that early work redeveloping the characters and turning them into "real" people really paid off. When an audience understands WHO they are, what they love, how they think - the kinds of stories you can build around them become so much more interesting, exciting and fun. I would have loved the opportunity to push it all even further, but I'm really proud of what we WERE able to do with them - and hopefully you'll all flip when you see what we've done. As I said, I plan to stay in touch with my all my pals here on the forum and always feel free to check in and ask any questions or yell at me if you think I've gone too far! xo JCB
