Interesting that they site the forum in their article. I would like to see Frank do Fred, mainly because he is the original, but Freddie Prinze Jr does work for WWE, so I could see them using him to do Fred. Maybe FPJ voicing Fred for this movie wouldn't be a bad idea. The movie doesn't just appeal to Scooby fans, it also appeals to WWE fans. Will Scooby fans be disappointed if Frank isn't Fred...I'd have to say yes, unless you really liked FPJ as Fred in the live action movies, and even then it would be a strange transition to cartoon. Will WWE fans be disappointed if Freddie Prinze Jr isn't the voice of Fred...I would assume so, since he works for them and the wrestlers get to do their own voices for the movie, so why shouldn't FPJ?. It's going to be interesting to see how this goes.
I am not thrilled that other sites are claiming Frank will be Fred without confirmation, but there seems to be a lot of claims about new series, movies and other things on the Internet that aren't real. We'll find out who is going to voice Fred soon enough I'm sure!!

there seems to be a lot of claims about new series, movies and other things on the Internet that aren't real. But I read on the Internet that everything on the Internet is 100% true.

Abraham Lincoln never lied, so this must be legit despite its anachronistic nature.

Maybe FPJ voicing Fred for this movie wouldn't be a bad idea. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think Freddie Prinze Jr. would be the second best person to voice Fred, and I really liked him as Fred in the live-action movies, but still.. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just keep on thinking, and I really can't see that happening. Mindy Cohn as Velma, Grey DeLisle as Daphne, Matthew Lillard as Shaggy, Frank Welker as Scooby, Freddie Prinze Jr. as Fred. That last one just doesn't seem right!! lol. I think WWE fans could be a little understanding, since Welker is the original voice actor and has voiced the character since 1969!

We'll find out who is going to voice Fred soon enough I'm sure!! Yep, i'm guessing Freddie Prinze Jr is leading this. I'm guessing this is a bid to find a different way to gain traction with the younger crowd. Right now, the main audience has a love/hate relationship with John Cena. They see him as the Golden Boy, and the Attitude Era put an end to the Hogan style eras. However, Cena sells tons of merchandise and does every special event and owns Twitter AND the Make A Wish Foundation records. PARENTS like Cena. They've cooled him off for a whole Year now and he's now getting a new push (He won their Royal Rumble which gives him a Title shot at the big Wrestlemania Show). Cena and Brodus Clay, as well as Sheamus come to mind. They ought to dig out Roddy Piper as well for his familiarity. The Big Show is also a favorite with kids, but his character's Bad Attitude lately has been affecting his charm with kids. WWE frustrates parents alot with Heel and Face turns, it's hard to teach kids the beginnings of write/wrong and let them watch WWE. I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE WWE to prohibit the 'ghost bear' or whatever to use wirework to 'haunt' anywhere. It goes back to a real tragedy where Owen Hart did just that stuff to enter the ring as the Blue Blazer and the rigging broke and he died hitting the corner of the ring on the way down headfirst. While i know that it's surely Scooby mantra that flying ghosts are people doing wirework, that should be prohibited in the WWE cartoon out of respect to , frankly, us adults who love scooby and remember that. It took forever to get all of the video of that off the web. I do want to see Ron Simmons in it and JBL back as Bradshaw as the APA as guys in the video. They are 2 of the best personalities EVER in WWE. Not sure he can say DAMN! in a kids movie though. It can work, and i'm sure Freddie Prinze Jr., as one of the Creative Control division, has ideas. I'm hoping his wife Sarah Jessica Parker can reprise her role for the voice, might as well make a Movie Voicecast reunion for it, as, well, Matthew Lillard is in as Shaggy anyway so he can have a burger when he wants.
