I don`t mind Daphne at all. I mean, everyone in the gang has their part and does their own thing that makes the gang special. Personally, I can`t stand Scrappy or Flim Flam. But that`s probably cuz I love the original gang. I don`t mind when others join for an episode or so( example: scooby-dum, etc.) but besides that, the original 5 all the way.

I agree that the original 5 is best, and that Scooby-Dum isn't such a bad addition in moderation. I also don't like Scrappy or Flim Flam.

I couldnt kick any of the original five members out I love them all, whenever they remove members for different incarnations of the show its just sad, besides I dont think I could hate daphne, I only hate things/ people/ characters who are out to seriously hurt others, in conclusion i think shes not that bad.

Time to revive this thread! Well, what you guys think about this Daphne, now? I think this one is the best I've ever seen, and she has some of the best lines, like Fred not being understood until he was dead (WHAT?!), or mocking him when they were locked in that cage in the Secret Serum, etc. Come on now--you have to like this Daphne! She, like the other characters, is more fleshed out, and flat out funny in SD:MI. Clearly, I think she's caught up to the others.

I never had an issue with Daphne to begin with, but I like this one alot. She has a lot of the same qualities as the original, but as you say more fleshed out. She also seems to have a certain, I don't know, motherly wisdom sort of quality this time too. Like she's the one who gives advice to Velma, and sorta mothers Fred a little even while wanting to be his girlfriend. Only because Fred's sort of a big kid in this series compared to the original, more naive and a little immature at times, so it's a little like when a wife thinks of her husband as being another of her kids at times. I guess the changes in Fred have sorta been compensated for in Daphne to maintain balance in the group dynamic. Mark

I guess the changes in Fred have sorta been compensated for in Daphne to maintain balance in the group dynamic. Mark Curious how you'd talk about her giving advice to Velma. I was just thinking about something along those lines. Y'know, Velma actually came to her to ask about if it was okay to tell boys what to do (this was about Shaggy, of course, but Daphne didn't know it at the time) in "Revenge of the Man Crab", and Daphne thought it was okay, using her dad as an example, portraying him as some sort of blithering idiot if he didn't have her mother around to baby him. Velma took that advice, and ran with it--much to her own detriment, while Daphne seems to be getting ever closer to Fred in her own relationship. I wonder what would've happened if Daphne had told Velma not to do that? Yeah, I'm sorta pointing a pinky finger at Daphne in blame. What do you think? ;D

Be honest, ahkyahnan: You didn't expect her to post that, did you?

I hate Daphne! I think if there was a member or charecter that I could kick off the show it would be here. What is role in the show ? I mean really. She always acts like she is so perfect. Who agrees? Or tell me why you like Daphne. I don't see how you can hate one of the 5 main characters and call yourself "Scooby obsessed" as your username suggets.

I think Daphne's 'remembered' for being a lot more prissy and annoying than she actually was as I go back and re-watch things. She definitely wasn't like one of the Bratz dolls or anything! Mark I agree with that. She is not that prissy and high maintenance like some people are saying. It's not like she is a spoiled brat who always has to have her way.
