I would like the next series to be in the same animation style as the recent movies (Abacadabra, Blue Falcon, etc.) I love that style since it's like a polished version of the original. I would like them to continue with the original forumla like SDWAY but in modern times such as the recent movies and What's New Scooby Doo. I think occasionaly bringing in Scooby-Dum in some of the episodes would be amazing. I've been wanting this for a really long time.
Or the could remake all the Scooby Doo Where Are You episodes but with modern animation that they have now. That would be awesome too!!
What do you all think?

One episode where they go on holiday and nothing happens. They are so busy looking for a mystery that they end up messing up their holiday.

Unfortunately what I would like and what I think we are going to get are two very different things.

I'll be surprised actually if there is another series anytime soon. I don't know of anything currently in development.

Unfortunately what I would like and what I think we are going to get are two very different things. What do you think we are getting? I really loved Mystery inc not only for its style but also for its more mature take and sensibilities on the classic formula. I also really enjoy the current run of DTVs. So of course for the next series I would want something similar or a continuation of either. Unfortunately the ratings for Mystery Inc were not at all what CN wanted or expected, so it doesn't make any sense for them to order another series that is similar to what in their opinion just failed. To me, that means they will want something quite different for the next to around. Think of how different "Get a Clue" was from "What's New"...that kind of extreme rebranding is what I expect (not a redo of Get a clue, just something drastically different from the formula of 4 meddling kids and their dog solving mysteries.) Look at what is hot on CN now...Adventure Time and Regular Show. I'm sure executives are looking for a Scooby show pitch that is like them. Something that can fit 2 stand alone segments in a half hour slot and is just A.D.D. zany and irrelevant. WB also knows that the best received episodes of Mystery Inc were the ones that featured other WB/HB characters and franchises...could we be due for another all encompassing mash-up show like Laff-A-Lympics was? (not necessarily sports themed this time around). So my prediction: take Scooby and a handful of other WB/Hanna Barbera characters from other shows (speed buggy, jabber jaw, captain caveman, Dynomutt, etc) and have them stuck on an Adventure Time-esque world and let the wacky happen in 12 minute clips.

I understand where your coming from. One thing I loved about the Mystery Inc. episodes was that the monsters were scary, dark, unique, and even dangerous at times yet it still stayed true to the classic guy in a mask formula. To me that was perfect. Wasn't a big fan of the Mystery Inc finale when they included real supernatural stuff but the beginning of the season was great. I also hope they continue in the similar path such as the recent movies/shows we have been getting. It's unfortunate that Mystery Inc didn't do good in ratings. Also I always had a feeling that it wasn't doing so great in the ratings department but how did you find that out? I've always wanted to know what the ratings for the show were?

There is more to the world that CN in the US. Should SD:MI do well in the rest of the world (ratings and DVD sales) then it will be up to WB not CN what happens. CN in the UK has, IIRC, never shown any Scooby Doo whereas Boomerang shows loads.

I agree with j3h's idea, it will probably be something like a Regular Show or Adventure time series.

well ratings weren't helped by the fact that there was such a big break inbetween the seasons, and the show wasn't very well promoted imo. i'd prefer a new series to having a load of dtvs imo.

I agree. There was way to big of a gap between seasons. And ya they did not do a very good job promoting the show either. I would love another scooby series. But I would be happy if WB sticks with just dtvs as well. Because every movie that has come out since Abracadabra doo I have loved.

An espinage series in the recent DTV art style with SDMI characters, like Ed Machine (good guy), Mr. E AKA Ricky Owens (boss opf the good guys), Cassidy Williams, Pericles (bad guy) and Kriefstaffa Bots!
