An espinage series in the recent DTV art style with SDMI characters, like Ed Machine (good guy), Mr. E AKA Ricky Owens (boss opf the good guys), Cassidy Williams, Pericles (bad guy) and Kriefstaffa Bots! Meant to say espionage.

I'd prefer something like my old idea: Scooby Doo: Coast 2 Coast.
It's as much an idea that jumps off the Coast 2 Coast AM Radio show with George Noory/ Art Bell as that it was also CREATED in SD: Zombie Island as the show Daphne Blake and Fred Jones were working on.
Have the show based somewhere , on a major network (Cable is fine) where the Gang has reunited after Zombie Island per say and have them do a Ghost Hunters style reveal after investigations on the AM show. Also, Daphne can host the show instead of the format on Zombie Island where she came back and told the story.
There are jobs here (Velma on technical, Fred on Film, Shaggy and Scooby.... Field Operatives , lol. I like this dymanic because they are A: Well Known B: Easy to Find C: Established
It lets the methods expand as to how they get cases. They can do investigative work looking for places to check out, they will get calls from viewers or those who have heard of them, and, they can also be TARGETED by fiends for their activities.
This format thoroughly modernizes the PROCEDURE on the show of paranormal investigation without having to affect the CHARACTERS which has been a HUGE matter of contention among fans. It also breaks the 'is this show about real monsters or fakes' as in the past. This show can be about both, where there are believers and skeptics in the real world, so in their audience. Because of their notoriety, they can also sneak in some SD New Scooby Doo Movies guest stars who invite them to their shows/movie sets/homes to do investigations without the budget breaking of having a whole series depending on heavy licensing deals for each guest.

I brought this idea up ages and ages ago, but I'm somewhat surprised they haven't even done a short that parodies all the various "reality" ghosthunter shows. While a whole series couldn't be done this way, a stand alone cartoon animated/colored as if shot via night vision cameras and jerky as if it was done with helmet or handheld cameras. It would be kinda similar to the Scooby-Doo project that parodied Blair Witch, but more in-line with these paranormal investigation shows.

Well, as Ghostbusters and Ghost Hunters and the rest all take inspiration from Scooby Doo WAY running around solving supposedly paranormal mysteries, anything lifted back is just evolution for SD.
I have YET to figure out why these paranormal investigators think running around with the lights turned off helps things when they also claim these 'beings' channel energy from the environment to materialize, but, they take away all of the ambient heat energy from the environment by not turning on the lights. Frankly, why would they want to materialize for a bunch of fools running around in the dark calling them out. I'm fairly sure most of the Ghosts are sighted during normal instances in the light!!!

The cynic would say that if it was in the daylight then they wouldn't be able to point to the image intensifier artefacts and say 'ohhh ghost.'

One episode where they go on holiday and nothing happens. They are so busy looking for a mystery that they end up messing up their holiday. I like that idea!!!
