you need a experienced rper handling the plot. which fortunately I am precisely that. I've handled very long running rps with literally hundreds of characcters. so the roughly 40 or so in play here is comparatively easy.
and welcome to the rp vakanai!
You can play as many characters as you like. we only request that you dont use other rpers characters, and that you post fairly regularly. nothing kills a story's moment like waiting weeks for a certain poster to post.

You may play Madelyn Vakani, I'm saving new character intros until the mystery resumes. Scrappy and the Hex Girls are free though.

All 3 of the Hex Girls are available. We had a brief appearance by one of them early in the room, but the person playing her dropped out

Cool, in that case could someone tell me anything I need to know about the rp so far, what's going on/where everyone's at, and the best way to introduce my characters/when I can? Basically just wondering when to post and roughly what to post I guess.

Right now Madelyn is using her magic act for fun and sometimes to help out with stealth while looking for clues. She's also being considered as Flim Flam's girlfriend, sorta. It's not fully official yet. Though Hand Holding has occurred...Velma might not approve of anything beyond that though...if she even approved of hand holding.
As for the plot, while on a mystery in Vicksburg, Mystery Inc has been framed and Hanna-Barbera allies from Scooby-Doo and sister shows have appeared to offer their aid.

The group is currently at a holiday party on Missy's showboat. Missy is Dixie's(Scooby's cousin) best friend, she's lending a claw on solving the mystery. The gang is trying to recover valuables hidden at the fort during the Civil War, one of those people- Marybelle, who is now a ghost- is helping them by tracking down the things she hid. They've found about half of her stuff. Some of Marybelle's friends, such as Creola, Nora and Nili, are pitching in too.
In short the gang doesn't want for allies.

As for jumping in, during a party is the perfect entrance point. . There's plenty of people there anyway, a few new ones just adds to the get together

Who's Marybelle and co, and why is the gang looking for treasure (aka start of the mystery)? Also, sounds interesting! If it's a Civil War fort, are they in a specific state or just the mysteriously generic "Deep South"?

Anything I should know to play Madelyn beyond what was in the movie and what little has been discussed so far?

Maybe to introduce the Hex girls have Dixie or Missy introduce them as musical entertainment for the party or something? Or will they be introduced later?
