The episode is one of my favorite from season 2. My main complaint was the monster was kinda meh, but other than that it was really well done. I also loved Daphne quirkiness as that was one of my favorite aspect of Be Cool, though I don't know if I would want every other show to have Daphne be the same as she was in Be Cool. Also we all have some type of quirky personality traits that what makes all unique What would you like them to do instead of doing the same old jealousy trick?
Hmm, I quite liked the Apeman as it was a cool nod to "Never Ape an Ape Man" from the original Where Are You series. I agree about Daphne, I think she was perfect like that in that particular series, but I'm not sure it would fit with any other series. Yes, you totally get me then lol! I think the world would be a better place if more people realized that! Literally anything else lol. In seriousness though, I would like to see the characters be more three dimensional and focus on developing their characters. There is more to Daphne's personality than being jealous of Fred. Additionally, it would be nice to feel like we're going somewhere with Fred and Daphne's relationship. It feels like we're just spinning in circles, especially with Stage Fright. Daphne tells Fred she's in love with him, then it goes back to the same jealousy cycle in the next film and no one talks about their supposed new relationship. After Stage Fright did Daphne and Fred start dating, cause I just assumed that they did, though it has been awhile since I have seen that movie, so I can't remember if they did or not. Even if they didn't start dating, they still made progress and developed that relationship, but after this movie they took steps back with the whole jealousy thing and reusing that idea. Again I don't know if they did this to create a laugh and help with the goofy tone or if there just stuck on how to develop this relationship without making the movie or series too serious.

No, they went immediately back to the jealousy bit in the next special, which came out a month later. No mention of the relationship was ever made again and it was like Stage Fright never happened, or wasn't canon, or something. Quite disappointing.

Weird how they just completely forget about the events of Stage Fright, though this isn't the first time in the Scooby Doo franchise were they forget some type of trait one of the gang has. Honestly, let jus hope for the best and maybe they do something different in the next few movies.

I think there are so many ways to make something interesting with this relationship. I think a new design could also help (but not the Be Cool design). I find that both in the older series and in What's a new Scooby-Doo, their relationship was at the same time obvious and relatively light. The writers can take inspiration from their interation in previous series before mystery incorporated (and even mystery incorporated, for some aspects, i find they were very supportive for each other in this serie, even if their couple had some problems) and from this base, make something new.
For Daphne and Shaggy, i have see two episodes of a pup named Scooby-Doo yesterday (by chance it's exist in my language) and i like their complicity in this serie. They seem rather close and i find it more natural than in Be Cool.

I can't think of any episodes where they seem close, though it's been forever since I've seen the series.

For Guess Who, I know there gonna spend more time with the character hanging out with the weekly guest star, though I would like to see them do something with the character like have them split up differently and not make it seem forced or awkward. This could help develop the relationship between the character and it wouldn't be too distracting for viewers.
I remember that A Pup Named Scooby-Doo had Daphne very supportive of Shaggy and Scooby in that series. One episode I remember was when Scooby ran away and Shaggy was upset, but Daphne tried to calm him down and would get mad at Fred anytime he would mention Scooby running away.

In the episode of Dog Gone Scooby, when Scooby runs away, Shaggy is sad and Daphne is the one who cheers him up and try to keep his spirits up. I'm not sure if this is one of the episodes she watched, but this is one I remember them being pretty close. Also a lot of Shaphne fans (haha i'm finally remembering those romance names) look back at A Pup Named Scooby Doo as a series where Shaphne was implied though if that true or not is up to debate. Though the writer for The 13th Ghost did work on this show as well.

I didn't think about that being Shaphne and definitely never knew that people thought Shaphne was implied in A Pup Named Scooby-Doo. I always presumed it was just the Scrappy shorts/13 Ghosts where Shaphne was implied.

It like you said in another thread where Shaggy and Daphne would be right next to each other for a few seconds and then every Shaphne fan would scream there a thing now. There a lot of moment in the show where Daphne and Shaggy are next to each other or Shaggy jumps into Daphne arms. Also with the show having the writer from 13th Ghost and from what I remember Daphne still having traits from 13th Ghost and the shorts a lot of people kinda just assume that they are a thing or at the very least the beginning of something because there in junior high if I remember correctly and that when you start seeing relationships happening.

Honestly i don't remember the names of the episodes, but they seem relatively close to me. They often stand next to each other or talk to each other personally. But i also don't see this as necessary romantic just because of this little things, but at least a good friendship. It's enjoyable to see.

The very fact that they are on the same continent is sufficient for some to claim conclusive proof that they are married.

You know that there a few people who think every time that Shaggy and Daphne are next to each other that they automatically assume that there both dating or like each other.

You know that there a few people who think every time that Shaggy and Daphne are next to each other that they automatically assume that there both dating or like each other. It's called Confirmation Bias, the selective sampling of data to prove what you want to be proved. Politicians, media and pressure groups do it all the time so they're in good (or is it bad) company. We all do it, the trick is to be aware of it and understand how it skews your perception.

Yes, hence my comment above. It just amuses me that some people will think along the lines of "there was a close-up of Shaggy's face, and then they switched to a close-up of Daphne's face! That must be the writers hinting that they're secretly in love!"
