it'll kind of have to continue from the first right? I mean, it's wrestling. There's really no where else to go lol Well yeah in that sense. I mean in the character sense. Like the movies mostly function individually they may make a few mentions but it's never hard continuity. I imagine It'll be that way but I would love if they really carried over some continuity. Yeah I think the same guy is directing it also so that would also give it more continuity there. I think my big thing is just with anything Scooby-Doo I want continuity. I think its one of the reasons I was really into SD:MI so much. Telling larger stories and what not.

Well what would you expect other than the "Hey remember when we did this"? They pretty much resolved the entire mystery in the first one. There's not much to really dive into that I can think of. So I'd imagine this movie will feature a different lineup of wrestlers involved in a brand new mystery and solve it on it's own.
I guess I'm more mixed. I like different story telling techniques. I guess in watching several decades worth of catalog I prefer the more basic "continuity when needed it, none when you don't." at least when it comes to Scooby and his fellow studio brethren. Of course I'm also tempered on having read plenty of older book series where strict continuity was never that important to telling a story, so I take it that rubs off more than I might think. But then again maybe MI is just an example of a story I just plain didn't enjoy.

I honestly can't imagine them not having John Cena at least, or maybe we see WWE City again just litle things that show, yes this is a sequel. Nothing really story specific would work but just sort of I guess world building at least. I mean this is the first time they have done a very direct sequel so I'm assuming that the first sold really well and I'm sure this one will. I could see them maybe even doing a 3rd so just sort of shape this universe at least for these wwe movies.

Well i think we might have to wait on that, however as posted on the general board, according to PWInsider the second one (Flintstones) sold well enough they are already working on ideas for the fourth (Jetsons) even before the third (scooby II) is finished.
But given that track, who knows maybe they will make a third Scooby if the second one does well lol.

Yeah its all speculation obviously. I just hope with the second one they just do a little something.
You guys think this will be the next DTV? Or do you think we will get another later this year and then this next year.
I would hope we would get something else later this year but 3 in one year doesn't seem possible.

Well they released the first two WWE crossovers in March because WWE's biggest event to which these tie into is in late march or early April depending on when they schedule it. So I would suspect this one is the first Scooby for 2016. Right now either the new features are going to done for the year with the Kiss Movie, unless that new hour-long Flintstones movie is a NEW addition to the schedule, and that means we still have a half hour special still to come (be it Scooby, Tom and Jerry, or something else) As per the last several years: (Movie=90, Special=30, =60) 2012: New Movie: Scooby-Doo! Music of the Vampire Big Top Scooby-Doo! Tom and Jerry: Robin Hood and His Merry Mouse New Special: Scooby-Doo! Spooky Games Scooby-Doo! Haunted Holidays 2013: New Movie: Scooby-Doo! Mask of the Blue Falcon Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright Tom and Jerry's Giant Adventure New Special: Scooby-Doo! and the Spooky Scarecrow Scooby-Doo! Mecha Mutt Menace 2014: New Movie: Scooby-Doo! WrestleMania Mystery Scooby-Doo! Frankencreepy Tom and Jerry: The Lost Dragon New Special: Scooby-Doo! Ghastly Goals Tom and Jerry: Santa's Little Helpers 2015: New Movie: Scooby-Doo! Moon Monster Madness Scooby-Doo! and Kiss: Rock and Roll Mystery Tom and Jerry: Spy Quest New Special: Scooby-Doo! and the Beach Beastie New : The Flintstones & WWE: Stone Age SmackDown! So either: A. The second half hour special was replaced by a new hour special this year B. A yearly hour special got added to the lineup and there's another half hour special still be announced. EDIT: A second 13 Spooky Tales dvd will probably arrive this year too, but like above it could be 50/50 if it's going to have a new special on it.

Yeah I guess I could see another special but I really doubt they could squeeze in another movie at the end of the year.
Honestly Moon Monster Madness almost feels like it doesn't count to some degree since it was on dvd. It just felt like a side thing not part of the main scooby releases but I'm sure I'm wrong on that haha. Just how it felt.

I know, I own it. I only listed it as the question marks on the grounds that given that it has a "fill an hour" run time instead of the the more traditional run times we are used to. As a result it's the only one on that list that isn't one of the two regular run times. This is why i'm suspicious it's to count as our second special. At the top of that post i included what i thought was explanatory of on which list i put each as such: (Movie=90, Special=30, =60) Those being the "fill an ____" runtimes.

So no more Cena and Daphne moments, huh? Well, I can live with that... ;P Not really knowing so much about the WWE Superstars, I don't know if that Hulk Hogan guy will be good for a Scooby movie, but it's something new. Thanks for sharing. I'd really like to see Kane again though. He was a really cool character. Well here is a potential spanner in those works, it looks like Hulk Hogan has been erased from WWE. Hulk Hogan has disappeared from WWE's websiteWWE removes references to Hulk Hogan from its websiteand others. It is reported that this was due to a racist rant that was caught on tape, it seems he used the N word (and other racist terms) to describe a fellow wrestler.

I admit, I did not see this coming... I assume they haven't finished making the WrestleMania Mystery sequel yet... But they did say the script was finished. So what are they gonna do now? At least they could Hogan around for this animation movie and kick him out later. I wonder what happened and he got fired... EDIT: WWE terminated its contract with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan).Hmm...

It probably won't affect the movie. CM Punk has left WWE on even worse terms (He just walked out and quit) and they still left him in the Flintstones movie.
Unless of course they haven't recorded anything yet, then they could swap someone else in. But this problem often gets in WWE's way because their products are often outdated because they take time to work on. For example a WWE video game has rarely ever had an up-to-date roster based on the fact that more than likely some people who are in the game have typically left the company before it came out.
There's only one real instance I recall they rushed to get someone taken out and it was because he committed a double murder.

It will depend how far they have got with writing/storyboarding/animating the thing. It could knock it back a while if they have to bin a load of material. jcb might have a better idea of the lead times of these activities but I would guess this is going to knock the project back quite a bit. What has been reported is that it was over a racist rant about his daughter dating a black man ( NY Post)- so given the speed and totality of his removal (he's an un-person in Orwellian terms) I don't think he'll be in the film at all.
