It's really odd. In real life I hate sports with a passion (especially wrestling! too much over-the-top theatrics), but most Scooby episodes/movies dealing with sports tend to have good monsters/villains and are fun to watch for some reason! I enjoyed the last one - will look forward to this one

Any idea when it might come out? I feel like they may rush it to get it out while the first is still recent. They announced in early September that it would be sometime in 2016.

Thanks for the link! Disappointing that they mistakenly called it "Scooby-Dee! Wrestlemania Mystery 2" though.

Not liking the idea personally. Didn't like all that much the first one and would have preferred they do something else. I mean what more can they do wrestling themed at Wrestlemania, that needs a sequal. But since the WWE are paying some of the tab and WB won't do all the publicity, then that is a benefit for them.

So no more Cena and Daphne moments, huh? Well, I can live with that... ;P Not really knowing so much about the WWE Superstars, I don't know if that Hulk Hogan guy will be good for a Scooby movie, but it's something new. Thanks for sharing. I'd really like to see Kane again though. He was a really cool character.

What I predict will end up happening is this will end up bringing in some financial success for WWE again, and they will start venturing into a live action Scooby movie. There has been rumors going around about a reboot, then those rumors turned to an animation reboot, then died down...its enough interest for WWE to jump on board.

I don't want to see any more live action Scooby-Doo! I prefer animated SD! But if WWE can cash in on Scooby, they will continue to do so.

I personally wouldn't mind it, I enjoyed all the live actions, even though I felt they all had weak points. If they aren't going to go a darker, more pg13 direction with live action I'd rather them stick to animation as well. And yes, WWE will stick their hands into any pot they think will give them money, for that reason I actually kind of hope it doesn't do well. The first one was very good but as one poster already said, what more can they do with it? Between a scooby and a Flintstones how many times can wrestle mania be recycled?

Since I loved WrestleMania Mystery and it's not every day we see sequels of recent DTVs, I'm really happy this was announced!! Thanks for sharing this, ScoobyAddict!! Same!! I honestly don't care if this new one sucks, hulk hogan X scooby doo, damn the only wrestler that would be better (IMO) is junkyard dog! XD

Oooooo, that would be hella rad, the live actions from the early 2000's are some of my fav movies, so anymore is appreciated! XD

I don't think it's "rumors". They announced both plans to work on a new live action reboot and a new Scooby Doo animated project for theaters. Both were followed by similar announcements of animated movies for theaters for the Flintstones and Jetsons. No one's ever provided proof that one of the Scooby one's was replacing the other as they were announced with different names attached to each.
I see this as just the culmination of all the press and dvd success for the Hanna Barbera brand over the last few years. As WB is finally seeing it as something to be proactive about and not just throwing out here and there for quick cash grabs. We've seen this get amped up even more with the more new features getting made, more official fb pages being started and plenty of panels at cons.
WWE in itself for better or worse loves to try and expand it's brand. It's own attempts at an animated property didn't go that well (which i find a bit surprising given I expected so much more when i heard they were trying something like it) but given that WWE has signed up for three cross over movies with HB properties, I assume it's doing pretty well for both. If they continue that way, who knows what they might try and negotiate next....but I do suppose the elephant in the room still is that we get a Flintstones and a second Scooby movie but still not yet one with the two characters that's whole gimmick is bashing each other's brains in?....where's our Tom and Jerry WWE movie? They seem the natural HB property for it more than Scooby and Fred.

Do you guys think they will have continuity with Wrestlemania Mystery or do you think it will sort of just be its own thing?

Like the movies mostly function individually they may make a few mentions but it's never hard continuity. I imagine It'll be that way but I would love if they really carried over some continuity.

I'm sure the characters will still remember each other though, I don't think it's going to be like nothing ever happened before. Plus, it's just good business sense to at least mention the first one in the second one.
