WB is seems to be upping the number of Hanna barbera official facebooks now. I take it all the panels and dvds are continuing to do well. And all that being said most of these pages do very little of note, but still get mad traffic and post day in day out, must be fun to be a marketer of brands that strong.

Facebook is a pretty popular social network that many people use , including myself. Scooby just got a instagram a few weeks ago.

I loved this show growing up haha, I still have my vhs tapes of it and i've got my four year old cousin into watching (who's also obsessed with scooby, she loves daphne haha) and sometimes if i see it's on foxtel i'll record it.
Just wondering, has anyone seen the live action movie for it?

Just wondering, has anyone seen the live action movie for it? Yes! I LOVE that movie! My grandmother bought it for me around the time it was first released, and I was hooked! I was already a fan of the show, and the movie was one of the greatest things ever for me. I have so many fond memories of watching it with my relatives. I actually prefer it to the Scooby-Doo movies. I really love the plot, the twists, the music, the actresses, everything! There have been so many instances where the songs were stuck in my head, and I would repeat certain lines from the movie... The innocence of childhood...good times indeed. I really wish this series would get a revival, or even another live-action (or animated) movie! There is so much potential with Josie And The Pussycats. Sometimes I feel as if they were superior to Scooby. They really deserved another season. Does anyone remember this? This one is also slightly relevant, playing on how the other Hanna-Barbera cartoons were treated.

It's one of my guilty pleasure movies haha, all the time i find myself randomly singing songs from the movie and they end up stuck in my head for a long time.

I really liked the first season though, LOL Belive it or not my least favorite character was the Fred clone, these two guy's have way too much in common :/ I really liked the music in this show and the other characters. I remember that video, really like watching it The theme song is one of my favorites FYI.

@fraphne Lover!! I find myself doing the same thing, the songs are too catchy and fun! I'm so glad my grandmother purchased the movie for me when she did, the soundtrack would have been a nice bonus though! shaggyfan86I'd recommend giving the Outer Space season a chance! It may seem silly in concept, but there is a lot of fun to be found there!v The plots are great, as is the music! I'm still hoping that someday those bubblegum pop songs will be released in their entirety and in high quality, the voices of the women and the lyrics were to great to stay shortened and with sound effects applied over them. I also really love the opening for "Outer Space", the theme song is probably my favorite ot of any TV Show! DooYeah, those songs/groovies are great! They're very nostalgic too! --- I wonder, if The Pussycats had never gone into "Outer Space", would they have been given more life/extra seasons? That would have been a nice treat. It was the only Scooby clone to have more than one season.

It depends how you define the break down for season/show. Since this has happened many times and the sources that SHOULD have a clear dividing line at the moment (coughcoughIMDBcoughcoughwikipediacoughcoughBCDBcoughcoughtv.comcoughcough) can't agree on many of the show's like this at all!
Josie had one season as it's original form, the next phase for the characters the show got a new name, new title and an adjust to the premise.
HB's Sister studio now legal acquisition Ruby Spears had the show Fangface that had a similar instance. Running one season and then getting a second season a part of a group show. It received a new name and an adjust to the premise with a new character added.
Captain Caveman ran for two seasons apart of a group show and then had it's own season on it's own, which now we consider it to have been a three season show. It however never had a name change or adjustment to the premise.
Scooby himself is directly involved in this when it comes to the New Scooby and Scrappy Show and The New Scooby Mysteries. It got a new name, new title and a very small adjustment to the premise (by way of Fred and Velma appearances) but a lot of people consider them the same show.
That being said these are only a few of the examples from Hb/RS that are like this, a bunch of DC and other studio shows share the same confusion. Some of these shows have to share pages on one of those sites but not others, making the divisions really questionable. However in general though Captain Caveman got renewed twice for more production while Josie only got one, so Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels was the most successful in that dimension. I'd argue Josie and the Pussycats was still more popular though, but going back to my post in the Speed Buggy thread, those dividing lines are a big guessing game on their own issues.
EDIT: by title, know that i mean opening title sequence

I'm so glad you sent me the link to this thread, Sophia, because I love Josie!
Roadrunner was definitely my favorite song from the series, though I really enjoyed Voodoo. The singers were not anonymous, by the way! The group was made up of Cathy Dougher/Douglas (Josie), Patrice Holloway (Valerie) and Cheryl Moor/Ladd (Melody). Interestingly enough, Josie's singer rarely sang lead on any of the Pussycats hits; Patrice Holloway sang the the theme song and most of the Pussycats hits while Cheryl Moor sang lead on most of the rest of the hits.
I also really enjoyed the live-action movie; I think it crossed over into live action much better than Scooby-Doo did. (Though I love The Mystery Begins.) My favorite song from the movie was probably Pretend to be Nice...or maybe 3 Small Words and I liked that they got Kay Hanley from Letters to Cleo to provide Josie's singing voice. (Though I'm not overly happy with how fake the lip syncing looked; these people are actors, I think they could have done better than they did.)
Melody and Alexander are my favorite characters and I ship them but I also really like Alexandra and Sebastian. (Though I wish the show had made Alexandra a witch like she was in the comics; that would have been so interesting!) I think Tara Reid and Paulo Costanzo did an amazing job as Melody and Alexander in the movie. They really captured the essence of the characters in their performances, it was just a really pure portrayal. The main thing I didn't like about the movie was that it seemed to focus on Valerie hating on Josie and Josie getting too big for her breeches more than any of the other characters. Melody and Alexander were left in the background and ignored and Alexandra was hardly even in it! (Don't even get me started on the absence of Sebastian.) It was a pretty good flick, though.
My favorite of the two cartoon series's was the original but I still enjoyed Outer Space; I haven't seen it in a while, though so I can't say for sure what my favorite episode was, though I remember enjoying All Hail Goddess Melody and Warrior Women of Amazonia right off the top of my head. I have the entire JatPC series on DVD, which I just watched yesterday though and I have to say that my favorite episodes were probably X Marks the Spot, Plateau of the Apes Plot, A Greenthumb is not a Goldfinger, Spy School Spoof.
The Pussycats Musical Evolution was also my favorite in the Groovies set up. I never liked Jabberjaw as a show but the Groovie wasn't too bad; it actually made the cartoon look better than it actually was, in my opinion.

i actually fell asleep once and dreamt i was at this awesome concert where i had to sing every theme tune i can remember and when it came to josie and the pussycats it got so out of control i started to sing in real time i love both pussycat variations but unfortunately i have not seen the film although i have heard very very good things about it i think ill look for it on dvd next week
out of all the formulaic hanna - barbera animated shows of the day Scooby doo and Josie and the pussycats definitely worked the best although i do like the other Scooby clones too Speed Buggy , Jabberjaw , Goober and the Ghost Chasers , Captain Caveman , Funky Phantom etc
