Its the perception. Everysite has more inactive members then active. If the site here was to remove all the inactive members, new members would assume the site is dead.

People can view the forum without signing up, so it seems like they would look at more than just how many members there are when determining how active the forum is.

A quick check on the 'Most Recent Posts' and the date/time stamps you see on the boards landing page will tell you how active it is. A forum with a small number of members can be just as lively as one with a large number of members if in the latter case many are dormant/inactive.

I see where you are coming from and I agree that deleting people may make it seem like the forum isn't very active. Yes, they could look at time stamps and posts, but a lot of people look at the number of members and if they see there are just a few they may feel like it's not a good forum or like it's only for a select few people. I think we should just leave the members as is. Them being active isn't hurting anyone. I didn't really see the point in deleting them anyway.

OK, I won't delete any members. I already sent 18 emails though, I just won't follow up with those and leave their accounts as is.

I am not against it, but I do think they should be contacted first AND we need to check their last login date. Maybe they are just lurkers. I agree too. The only reason I even sent those few emails because this post sounded like ScoobyAddict wanted to do it.

That would be pretty cool if they did start posting.

If they fully came back, that'd awesome. After three years it might be kind of hard, but I hope that they do.
