I didn't find out until very recently, but nearly three months ago, George A. Robertson Jr. (a.k.a. Austin Roberts) passed away at age 79. While he had a few hit singles in the 1970s, in the cartoon world he was known for singing the theme song and the chase songs in Season 2 of "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!" He also collaborated with Danny Jansen in writing some songs for Josie and the Pussycats. This really bummed me out, as I sure enjoyed his chase songs. I even featured one of them in my Robin Hood YTP "Disney Buys Out Hanna-Barbera!" I also like his take on the theme song better than the Season 1 version; he sounded kind of like George Harrison when singing!
