I've come across many Scooby music cues online but, I realized there are some I haven't heard as clean cues, so I think they may have come from other cartoons. I'm trying to identify three I heard while watching "Foul Play in Funland" (S01E08): - The carnival music. (around 8:55, carousel scene) I think I read on this forum that this actually comes from an episode of the Flintstones? This was the thread I found.
- The "growing suspense music" (around 6:26 - 6:45, when the lights are going off in the park)
- The "boing" chase music (around 5:21 - 5:35, in the hall of mirrors when Charlie is standing behind Shaggy)
I haven't heard any of these in the cues I have found. Does anyone know if these audio tracks exist in a clean state somewhere? EDIT: I tried to upload two small audio clips of sounds #2 and #3 for convenience but got: "Error: This forum has exceeded its attachment space limit. Your file cannot be uploaded." So I put them here if anyone wants to listen: growing suspense musicboing music

Welcome to the forum! I am unsure on the other two, but I can confirm the carnival music was recycled from The Flintstones episode "Circus Business." The beeping sounds that Charlie makes were also recycled from a "futuristic" sound effect that was commonly used in The Jetsons. That futuristic sound effect and music had also been recycled in another episode of The Flintstones ("Dr. Sinister," as the sound effect for Dr. Sinister's world domination machine) before it was recycled again here.

Thanks. I'll look around for a clean version of the carnival music (unless anyone knows where to find!) I updated the original post with links to two small audio file examples of the other two sounds.

I updated the original post with links to two small audio file examples of the other two sounds. The common places to find these (if they exist in isolated form) are the official Hanna Barbera sounds effects CDs and the leaked Ted Nichols cues. wileyk209 owns the official discs and may know more about individual filenames.

Well, I don't own the actual discs per se, but they were released on Archive.org. They don't really have track names or anything, but I came up with some, seen in the comments. archive.org/details/scoobydootheoriginalsessionmastersThe carnival music indeed appeared in the Season 6 "The Flintstones" episode "Circus Business" and the Squiddly Diddly episode "Clowning Around", and it quickly became H-B's go-to music track for circus and carnival scenes. The "growing suspense" music was actually composed for an episode of "The New Adventures of Huckleberry Finn"; here is the scene... That "boing" music was also part of a longer track that was composed for "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!" But despite being scored for the show, it was not included on that Session Masters CD. In that episode, the track actually starts at the 4:51 mark and plays throughout much of Shaggy and Scooby playing around in the hall of mirrors.

Thanks for the leads, wileyk209. I tried removing the scraping stone sound from the "It Approaches" audio but couldn't make it happen. I listened to all of those Scooby session masters again, hoping I just missed the "boing" track, but as you said - it was not included. Too bad, as that is a fun track! I'm surprised at the trouble I'm having finding clean audio of the go-to HB carnival music. Was that released on any "music of HB" collections?

The only real instrumental music we have are in the aforementioned releases and leaks. Worth digging through.
