THE SCOOBY SNACK
Now since I have argued that Scooby's family comes from China, it only follows that Scooby Snacks must come from China as well. So taking an old China recipe and adding various ingredients found in Chinese legend and lore, we come up with a tasty snack. (And probably expensive too. That is why they never gave too many snacks at one time.)
First get a half a cup of chocolate. Put in a bowl and place over a pot of boiling water until melted. Then remove from heat and add one and a half tablespoons of corn syrup and one cup of sugar and mix. Then take one teaspoon of instant coffee powder, two-thirds a cup of hot milk, one teaspoon of Ginseng, and half a teaspoon of nutmeg and stir into the mixture. Add half a cup of chopped walnuts, one cup of Graham Cracker crumbs and one tablespoon of vanilla. Mix well.
Shape into about 35 balls or cylinders. Chill for twenty four hours then remove.
I have no idea if the author actually made this, but it sounds kinda good. It would actually make sense that they have stimulants in them.

I've always found it weird when I've seen recipes for Scooby Snacks that include chocolate - seeing as how chocolate is poison to dogs like Scooby.

I've always found it weird when I've seen recipes for Scooby Snacks that include chocolate - seeing as how chocolate is poison to dogs like Scooby. If you go to the link, the author works through that, actually! Haha. He explains that these aren't dog treats and Scooby is one of few dogs who actually can tolerate chocolate; it's not healthy either way but some don't die from consuming it. Scooby eats chocolate on various occasions in the show, so it's not unreasonable to assume as such. Dogs should not be given chocolate as a general rule, but there are exceptions where it's not lethal.
Various examples:
-Chocolate Covered Marshmallows -Chocolate Syrup on Ice Cream -Chocolate Syrup Pancakes -Chocolate Cake -Chocolate Corn on the Cob
On a sidenote, Scooby's technically not a dog at all in the Mystery Incorporated universe. It's interesting to read the link above's history because it highlights an early example of people wanting explanations of why Scooby can talk and eat human food. Perhaps Scooby & Amber are more similar than anyone ever thought.
