Love him or hate him, Did Warner Bros Animation do that? Yes they did.
WBA produced a christmas musical animated special featuring Urkel that is a part of one of the first attempts at re-widening Cartoon Network, called ACME Night.
The block kicks off this month but i wouldn't be expecting this one to air until December for well obvious reasons.

It's super interesting that they are reviving Urkel for his own Christmas special! I bet this was inspired from his inclusion in the Guess Who episode (as I don't think he's appeared in anything since Family Matters).

Yes I assume that too. It's funny given that in the past it was common for live action tv show characters to get animated spinoffs. Urkel arrived a bit too late for that but I really felt like in Guess Who he proved he was a character who was very natural for that transition. (Even more so than several live action characters who had gotten them before)
Probably also helps the actor is still very interested in doing more as the character.
