Kids aren't going to be aware of the old Krypto show either - it's been like 15-ish years since it aired (05 to 07). There's no point in doing a crossover with an old series like that. Just put reruns back on Boomerang and HBO. Problem solved. Kids could see it in reruns that way. If WB can reference 13 Ghosts (which is decades older) than they can reference 2005 Krypto. Gonna have to agree with Kirben on this one. Especially considering how Scooby crossed over with DC superheroes so many times. The 2005 Krypto cast would have been a nice change. Problem's not really solved though if there's not a problem to begin with. 13 Ghosts was specifically for the nostalgic old fans of Scooby Doo - no reason to assume old fans of Krypto would be buying Scooby DVDs. Just make a new version of Krypto and focus on that - which seems to be what they did? Sure, the other DC superheroes show up, but they're missing for a huge chunk of the movie, Krypto is not from what I understand. I haven't watched this yet fyi.

Well the 2005 Krypto did air on the same networks as Scooby so it makes sense for older content to crossover with what's still around today for marketing reasons.

They didn't even do a good job catering to its fans, if any thing it felt like an F you to us.

I mean, it doesn't make sense to crossover with older content many of the target audience won't know at all. Makes more sense just to use a new version of Krypto, which they did, than crossoever with an old show.
Just for the record, I'm not against the old show or anything by the way, and I'd probably enjoy it if this did crossover with that. My argument is directly aimed at the thought that this should have been a crossover with the old 2005 show. Wishing it was is fine, but the demand that it should be just rankles me a little as fan entitlement I guess? There's no reason why it should have been a tie in with the 2005 show, nearly 20 years have passed (18 - wow, Krypto the Superdog could vote this year), but like everyone else I do think it would be nice if it had. I mean as a Godzilla fan I kinda wish they'd make a Scooby Doo meets Godzilla movie, and I'd love that to reference the old HB Godzilla cartoon, but I wouldn't expect or demand that it should.

Edit: Sorry for double posting, no multi-quote feature I can find, and copy/paste with this site doesn't work well with my laptop. Works on phone or tablet tho. Maybe it's my browser, I use firefox.

Amazon UK added a description to their listing, which would further hint that this is coming out, as they would have no reason to add a description if they weren't thinking about releasing the film. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BGY9KGLK

I'm really glad it's being released! I was worried that they wouldn't given the leak in March.

I'm really glad it's being released! I was worried that they wouldn't given the leak in March. Same here! I guess the "Barbie" movie being a box-office smash is helping pay off WB-Discovery's tax woes!

I'm glad we are getting this movie. It's a small win over all, but it's also a ray of hope that the execs have listened to the animation people at least in this one case.

Thank God! Finally some good Scooby news after all the losses with canceled projects we've had to take in this franchise recently! I'm really glad it's being released! I was worried that they wouldn't given the leak in March. Same here! I guess the "Barbie" movie being a box-office smash is helping pay off WB-Discovery's tax woes! If only it could've saved Holiday Haunts and Haunted Skyrise! Oh and live action Batgirl!
