A few months ago, I wrote an article for my blog about how another 90s cartoon series, Gravedale High, was incredibly similar to the tone of Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School if it were a TV show. To challenge myself, I decided to write some fanfiction about what such a crossover would actually be like. The fanfic does not include Shaggy, Scooby or Scrappy - it's just a crossover between the girl ghouls from Ghoul School and the main characters from Gravedale High. The plot revolves around the girls bumping into the Gravedale High students while they are trying to make post-graduation plans at a college and career fair. While this is technically part of my already in-progress fanfic that I've been publishing weekly - Fangs for the Memories - this chapter was written with the intention as being standalone from the rest of what I've written, so there's no need to read the other chapters to understand this one. Okay, so It's been a while. I finally found half the Gravedale High episodes on Archive.org in stunning 480p, so I'm going to rewatch those to refamiliarize myself with the show and read this. Sorry it's been so long!
Edit:
-I love the diary intro. Good way to begin. It's interesting to think that Grimwood may exist to sort of shelter monster girls from the normal world. Plus, their parents are kinda busy being monsters I suppose, haha! Perhaps the city decided to fund a finishing school to help keep them safe and familiar with normal human behavior-- to a degree.
-This writing is really good. I've never thought about how the Grimwood girls would have felt after the gang ran off. Whoa.
-Miss Grimwood is written well. I can easily picture her voice saying the "everybody knows" part.
-The pizza place is a nice touch. Something the original film only ever hints at with the one pizza.
