The other co-creator of Scooby-Doo, Ken Spears passed away last week at the age of 82.
It's so sad and weird both of Scooby's creators died the same year, only months apart. Their work wasn't only limited to Scooby, of course, and most of their legacy will live on for years to come I believe.

Ruby and Spears also worked on the 1994 Mega Man cartoon.

So that means both members of the Ruby-Spears Productions team are gone now, and both in 2020. I originally thought of them as being strictly associated with Ruby-Spears Productions, and not Hanna-Barbera, until I joined a Facebook group and these boards.
They did awesome work in creating Scooby-Doo and other characters in the Hanna-Barbera universe, as well as produce Ruby-Spears cartoons, of which I like "Mister T", the "Punky Brewster" cartoon spinoff, and "Rubik the Amazing Cube". I would have watched "Rubik" if not for certain blue creatures on another network.
