We don't talk about Goblin King. And the others were all episodes, the trailer specifies this is the first Halloween MOVIE. "We" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. Actually rewatching the trailer it says first Halloween Movie Mystery. Technically The Goblin King can still count as Scooby's first Halloween movie without counting as his first Halloween movie MYSTERY. There was no mystery in the Goblin King. And as has been pointed out all other Halloween mysteries we're either episodes or specials. So no need for anyone to get upset over the wording used because it is all technically true without undermining anything that came before.

I don't think this is supposed to be the "Brave & the Bold" version of Scarecrow. It's kind of hard to tell since the character only briefly appeared like 3 times on the show, and once in the Scooby cross-over movie, but at the very least the designs and voice actors are different (he was voiced by Dee Bradley Baker before, now it's Dwight Schultz). Happy Halloween Scooby Scarecrow Batman the Brave & the Bold Scarecrow

Yeah, they mentioned Crane's name and also said he escaped from Arkham Asylum, which is where he was last seen in the Scooby/Batman Brave & Bold cross-over movie, I think.

I really enjoyed the Scooby Doo and Batman movie, but I always felt it would have been better if they had made a different Batman instead of going with the Brave and the Bold version. Maybe if they are using a different Scarecrow then maybe the next time Scooby and Batman meet it'll be a different continuity Batman too. Yeah, they mentioned Crane's name and also said he escaped from Arkham Asylum, which is where he was last seen in the Scooby/Batman Brave & Bold cross-over movie, I think. Definitely the Batman villain, just not the Brave and the Bold version, at least based on design and VA apparently. Interesting to see them go against a Batman rogue without Batman. Really tying the Scooby Doo and DC universes together. And if the gang are going up against DC villains Batman's are closest to their wheelhouse.

We don't talk about Goblin King. And the others were all episodes, the trailer specifies this is the first Halloween MOVIE. Well besides that, I recall "Scooby-Doo and KISS: Rock and Roll Mystery" took place around Halloween as well. And then there's the "13 Spooky Tales" mini-movie "Spooky Scarecrow", but that wouldn't necessarily count.

Which reminds me, Scooby Doo and the meddling kids have come up against a scarecrow villain like at least 2 times before this, I wonder if any of those will be included as bonus features on the DVD. I really liked that mini-movie, caught it on or around Halloween a couple years back on... either Cartoon Network or Boomerang, should really add it to my collection.

"We" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. Yeah...I know a lot of people, myself included, that enjoy that film. Well, opinions are divided. I personally loathe Goblin King, but everyone has the right to their own opinion. Trailer looks nice, but my expectations are pretty low after watching some of previous releases. It's not the first Halloween movie, but it actually is the first Halloween mystery.

This is something that's come up a lot on my blog already but I haven't seen it mentioned here...I really hope they release "A Halloween Hassle at Dracula's Castle" as a bonus episode on the DVD. It would be a wasted opportunity not to, given it's never been released on DVD.

I honestly couldn't finish The Goblin King but that might just be because I'm not use to the direct to DVD films.

The description for this trailer mentions an October 6 release date (both Digital and DVD).

Bill Nye is an excellent choice. It is absolutely terrifying that anyone thinks that man knows a thing about science.
