The Learning Company was an educational software publisher that many of us growing up in the 90's and early 2000's will certainly remember. They made some Carmen Sandiego games, re-published some of the Oregon Trail games for PC, and, most applicable here, made a couple of Scooby-Doo based computer games.

The games they made were "Showdown in Ghost Town," "Phantom of the Knight," "Jinx at the Sphinx," an "Activity Challenge" (which was a freebie in a cereal box), and a couple of games under the title of "Scooby-Doo! Case Files." (At least 4 I think)
I, myself, grew up with Showdown, Jinx, and the Activity Challenge. I even remember dressing up as the first game's antagonist, The Faceless Rider, for Halloween one year!
They're fairly simplistic point-and-click adventure games, with art clearly styled/lifted from SDWAY. It's fully voice acted by the official Scooby cast at the time (including BJ Ward as Velma and Scott Innes as Shaggy & Scooby!), and has an original soundtrack akin to classic Scooby-Doo music. Check two out here if you wish: Showdown Soundtrack, Phantom Soundtrack
A really cool feature of these games is
Overall, I think these games are really awesome. You can pick up a copy from Amazon for only a couple of bucks, and I think they're well worth it. And it's very easy to get them up & running even on modern windows pc's. Some have even been able to rip the voice, sfx, and music files - which are added pluses to listen through. Just like watching an episode of one of the classic series - only interactive!
What do you guys think? Do any of you remember playing these games/are interested in trying them out? I'm surprised there wasn't a thread on these already!

A really cool feature of these games is
that the clues and final culprit are different every time!
