Sure, it was sort of weird how at the last minute the writers made it be just a test, especially since the commissioner called it a dangerous mission all by himself...but I liked it! It was fun.

I enjoyed this one a lot too. Much more humor than the typical Richie Rich / Scooby-Doo Show episode which was refreshing.

I wonder if the idea for this episode was inspired by a two-part Richie Rich comic book story in which the title of part 2 was "A Surprise for the Spies", which was published early in 1980, if I recall? I think it was commonplace for Richie Rich animated adaptations to come from stories published by Harvey Comics within a year prior to production?
