I'm starting this thread for people to share story ideas for possible future movies/comics/etc. Though it's unlikely that people at Warner Bros. read this, they may turn out to be useful for fanfics and other fan creations.
I personally think it could be a cool twist if it turned out that the whole plot of a movie was an elaborate April Fools/birthday/etc. prank on Shaggy and Scooby by the rest of the gang with possibly some others involved, like in the Castle episode "Lives of Others". It could play with all the clichés of Scooby-Doo: for instance, Velma may lose her glasses, but it would later turn out that she wore contact lenses, and only pretended that she cannot see anything. Or there may be a typical moment with a monster touching Shaggy and Shaggy saying "Hey Fred/Daphne, is that you?" - and at the end it would be revealed that it actually WAS Fred or Daphne in a monster disguise. Besides, I really loved that twist in "Where's my Mummy?" where the ghost of Cleopatra turned out to be Velma, and the general idea that Velma may have a playful/mischievous side, as well as the idea of Shaggy/Velma romance. In my opinion, it would be interesting if she organized such a prank on Shaggy for the purpose of romantic teasing.

Or how about an April Fools episode where Shaggy and Scooby are the guy in the monster suit? When one is on screen the other is in the costume.

Welcome to the forum, Spike!
I love the haunted house/castle type mysteries along with the three 80's films (Boo Brothers, Ghoul School, and Reluctant Werewolf). It would be great if we could see another film/story in that same vein someday, so maybe something like that? I've always felt that the Richie Rich / Scooby-Doo Show episode "Moonlight Madness" was sold short in terms of its potential. For those who don't know the episode, Shaggy goes to a family manor and finds out there's a werewolf curse on his family. It turns out the reason for the curse is because of a necklace, which the evil butler (don't remember his name) puts on Shaggy so he will turn into a werewolf and fulfill the family legacy. IMO, that's such a cool storyline that needed way more than 7 minutes to play out. Plus it's sort of a combination of Boo Brothers and Reluctant Werewolf!

How about a renn fair episode where the gang dress in couples' costumes: Fred and Daphne in one medieval theme and Shaggy, Scooby and Velma as Robin Hood, Little John and Maid Marian? Just imagine Shaggy and Scooby using a bow and arrows to steal food: scoobyaddicts.proboards.com/thread/5021/couple-pics-commissioned (top pic related) The villains could be the ghosts of Prince John, Sir Guy of Guisborne and the Sheriff of Nottingham.
