Pre Scooby days? Since the live action film is messing Every thing up Scooby Universe wise, why not?

Honestly, I think I would be fine either way. I guess I see the 3rd live action film "The Mystery Begins" as Shaggy and Scooby's version of "Daphne & Velma" (if we're thinking of these as 'origin' films to how the gang meets), so in a way, this upcoming film is kind of Daphne and Velma's version of Mystery Begins. Someone on my blog suggested that the "Whassup D & V?" line at the end of the trailer could be Fred, so maybe his "origin story" will be explained in this film too?

No. I don't care about all of these movies. A Pup Named Scooby Doo version of gang's origin story is and still will be the closest to my heart.

Honestly as I am still on the fence about the Daphne and Velma film, not really considering it. Also imagining Fred and Shaggy film is a bit unusual for me, since I always envision Shaggy as paired with Scooby and Fred is just sort of... independent? Or with Daphne. Like others, I consiadwrwd Mystery Begins an origin film.

If they felt like they had a story to tell, sure. I liked the Daphne and Velma movie well enough. And hey, maybe a third movie would bring all four together and introduce Scooby Doo.

I absolutely would like a film, animated or live-action, focusing on Shaggy and Fred's friendship if it's anything like how this fanfic cleverly managed to do.

It would be great if Scooby could be played by a real trained great dane for most of his screen time. I don't know how I feel about that. Sure, I didn't like how Scooby looked as a CG character in previous movies, but he should also always look a little too cartoony to be portrayed by a real dog. Although in my head I will always imagine what a live action series made during the era of the original would have looked like (think Mr. Ed with peanut butter to make it look like Scooby is taking, and a teenage cast who could have walked out of the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew).

Why can't they just make Scooby a cartoony muppet in the live action movies instead of CGI? Scooby being made realistically in CGI in the live action movies has always looked cringe worthy to me. Another reason why I don't like the live action Scooby movies.

It wouldn't look cringey if they used the Mister Ed approach and used a real great dane. It's easy to make a real dog move his lips on cue than it is a horse. They had to use plastic fishing wire to train Mister Ed but a dog will bark at anything that moves, then they can just edit out the sound of the barking and replace it with Frank Welker's Scooby voice through dubbing. Scooby may seem like he needs to be more cartoonish but some fans seem to forget that in the 70s he moved a lot more realistically than he does. Plus you can still do cartoony things with Scooby with CGI when needed but it would look just fine if they used a real dog whenever Scooby's movements and actions need to be more realistic. Plus they'd save money on CGI if Scooby didn't have to be CGI throughout the whole film. The villains wouldn't need a lot of CGI either if they would just make a Live Action Scooby film where every monster that appears turns out to be a criminal in disguise.
Sure they can't use a real dog throughout the entire film but for a good number Scooby's scenes, a real dog in the role could work.

I rather keep Scooby design as cartoony as possible without it looking out of place. Personally I loved how Scooby looked in The Mystery Begins and Curse of the Lake Monster. Making Scooby a real Great Dane would look weird and just feel out of place for me.
