We just recently started getting Boomerang, and I was wondering something. Do the various cartoon series they air tend to come back around from time to time? I mean do they tend to rotate programs, so that something that stops airing for awhile eventually comes back on?
I'd started DVRing Fangface and Clue Club, and it looks like a week from now those are going to be replaced by Hong Kong Phooey and something else.
Would it be typical that after awhile, they'd rotate back into the lineup and I could record whatever episodes I missed this time around?
Was wondering the same thing about the New Scooby-Doo Movies. I managed to record all but 3 of the episodes that aren't on the DVD set, and am hoping it comes back around sometime so I can get those.
Thanks!!

Mark We've had Boomerang on our cable system since I think 2007 and I can attempt to answer some of your questions: First, most of the shows that air come back from time to time; generally they air for a couple months and are off the schedule for a few months and then come back on the schedule; I guess it really depends on what show it is. Second, Fang Face and Clue Club are right now part of Boomerang's Those Meddling Kids block with all the Scooby type shows; yes those are only going to be on for another week or so, in addtion from what i've seen it looks like Those Meddling Kids will be off the schedule for a couple months(oddly enough the block won't be on the schedule in June and most schools end their school year in June, kind of a weird coincidence when you think about it; usually since they started that particular block, they bring it back once school starts in September so I would imagine it would be back on then). Depending on how many episodes the show has they repeat every show a couple of times, so if you miss an episode there's a good chance you would be able to record it twice. Same thing with the New Scooby Doo Movies, which will be on in June so if you miss an episode, you should be able to catch an episode a couple of times. By the way, i'm just curious what your television provider is; for me it's Click Cable TV(owned by one of the local utility companies in my area-Tacoma Power actually); we had Comcast for years and I waited forever for them to add Boomerang but they never did, plus it was getting too expensive to keep their service, so when we went to a local festival there was a Click booth and a person from the company there and eventually we got Click Cable TV service and we have been very happy with it so far, especially since it's local to our area and Comcast is national and their headquarters are in Philadelphia I think, which is several thousand miles away from us. Hope this helps and it's always nice to talk to another Scooby Doo fan

Wow. Thanks for such a detailed reply. I kinda thought that's how it might work, but we've only had Boomerang for a couple months so I didn't have enough experience with it to know for sure.
We got it by recently switching from Comcast too. We had our cable and internet through them, and both kept going down, usually when the weather got bad. We started hearing they needed to do a lot infrastructure repairs/improvements in our area that weren't likely to happen soon. So we switched to DirectTV who have a bundle deal with Verizon phone service that combines our TV, voice and internet services. It's been a lot more consistent...our internet hasn't gone down yet...plus we get more channels. Including Boomerang!!!
So I've been catching up on a lot of shows I haven't seen in years. Oh, and our main DirectTV box has a built-in DVR, which also runs through our DVD recorder/player to the TV, so I can make DVD's of most shows if I want. I don't do it often, but it's nice for shows that haven't been officially released.
Thanks again for all the info.

Mark Cool, and it was no problem; i've heard DirecTV has pretty good service, actually i've only watched DirecTV a couple of times and they've been pretty good. The bundle deals are usually pretty cool too, for us we have our internet and phone service both through Qwest which includes wireless internet. As for Comcast, the problem we had with their service was that it was it kept getting higher in price and that it went out a lot even when the weather was good, at least with our current service provider for TV we haven't had to worry about service going out that much.
