I know that someone made something like this, but I wondered what people's answers would be if it was completely anonymous, instead of via post. I don't know what to expect, but I wonder if it would be any different.

Well A poll is one thing, but reasoning will likely be similar to the other thread on this

Yeah, but you have to make a thread in order to put a poll, at least as far as I know.

yeah, but i think the polling results will be mixed. Scrappy is a polarizing character

I've seen a few people claim neutrality. I think you're right mostly (I've included Neutral just in case) It bugs me how some people try to claim he's universally despised, 'cause he's not.

Not Universally, but most likely disliked by a majority of people, to varyting degrees. it would be one thing if they brought back the Boo Brothers, Ghoul School, Reluctant werewolf era Scrappy.

Those people arent as familiar with him, as a good part of the Scooby fandom is, especially those of us who grew up with Scrappy.

Not Universally, but most likely disliked by a majority of people, to varyting degrees. it would be one thing if they brought back the Boo Brothers, Ghoul School, Reluctant werewolf era Scrappy. Just noticed that part of your post. I for one tend not to think of The three 80's specials movies Scrappy as a "different" Scrappy. I think that Scrappy's characterization in those three was a result of all those years on the air. Scrappy did learn from his mistakes. Take season 1 of Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo. He stopped the "What, I'm just a puppy" schtick half way through the season. He would start telling Shaggy and Scooby when he was going to set a trap (They still stumbled into it, but he did give them a fair warning) The first Richie/Rich season pretty much had Scrappy from where they off end of previous season. From then the growth was slow. But it was there, too. By the new Scooby-Doo mysteries, Scrappy was actively helping with the mystery. You see, I my first encounter with Scrappy was his last animated appearance, and what seems to be agreed at his very best. Years later I discovered the internet and Amazon Prime and when I watched the first episode of Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo, "The Scarab Lives!" And I was completely fine with Scrappy. Maybe it was because I knew that he was going to evolve as time went on, or maybe it was that I knew what to expect, or maybe I just don't find Scrappy annoying, bottom line, but I really would rather think of Scrappy's "Toning down" as character development. That's just my take on it all.
