Googie was an addition in the Superstars 10 movies. This was a program package as I posted in other sections of the forum that was intended to be a regular thing. As a result many of the first round of movies introduced new characters or left doors open for sequels.
However upon Turner buying Taft and getting Hanna Barbera everything at the time that was not yet funded was put on the backburner and most of which never got made. The second edition of the Superstars 10 was included in that group. I've never seen a report indicating what the Scooby ones (as since Scooby got the three of the first ten he would have clearly had at least one in the second) would have been. But it is a distinct possibility some of those one shot characters may have indeed came back had the Superstars 10 continued.
But obviously that didn't happen, so we never saw Googie again.

I never cared about Googie. They should of used Daphne in all the Scooby Superstars 10 movies.

its clear given the end of werewolf that a sequel was planned, but obviously was never done given the dropping of the planned superstar films.

I would've liked Googie a lot better if she co-existed with Daphne, as it was she just looked like Daphne's replacement. :/

Googie seems to be an odder character in certain fandoms. She plays a solo girl on a four person team, so her interaction with other girls is completly unwritten.
But I did see some people who prefer Shaggy with someone else but do like Googie, send her over to the other Hanna Barbera grease-monkey, Tinker from Speed Buggy.

we've had a number of one shot characters over the years. Scooby Dee only appeared once officially, Dixie only appeared once. the guest stars in Scooby Movies. the whole idea of continuity in the scooby canon is up for debate.

I think it's mainly because people don't care about these characters, if we want to see Dee or Dixie we have to be vocal about it.

Its not that people dont care about them, its simply that there has to be a reason for the gang to go see them. Dee's in Hollywood, Dixies traveling the Mississippi, etc.

Two of them are what became Jonny's Golden Quest and The Flintstone Christmas Carol. I've just never seen someone who has the memo our knowledge of this comes from, post what Scooby entry/entries were on the list. Which I kind of think is a fascinating thing to wonder. Whatever the idea was would have probably been being formed as A Pup Named Scooby Doo was ending. As Pup finished airing right before the Turner buyout. (Pup finished airing in August 1991, Turner bought out HB and RS in November 1991)

after pup, there was a gap of several years without any new Scooby, theres about a 7 year gap between the end of Pup and Zombie Island. It would be interesting to see of the original 10, how many actually got made, and which others wee rejected.

It's ironic that no new Scooby came out in the mid 90s yet it was so popular then. Cartoon Network and TBS played Scooby all the time.

Though I can't understand how now we get two films a year and it doesn't seem to be half as popular as it was a decade ago. The nineties and now should've switched with their Scooby films.
