Hey all! I'm new here so forgive me if there is a similar thread dedicated to this. I was wondering if there's a definitive list of Scooby-Doo DVDs for someone who's hoping to own all that's available without double dipping.

I wouldn't worry much about that. Time is more the issue then if. The method and pattern still seems strong. Especially when you crunch the numbers to see if you've bought all the 13 Spooky Tales dvds, you would still need to buy each of those potential season sets to complete your collection. And i still won't be surprised if some of the stalling is to bring in some extra cash to fund some of the Scooby (and or other) rights problems they've got to deal with.
I'd say our biggest concern right now is WB considering the new specials a 'series' in it's own right and will one day get a combined set, or are the 13 Spooky Tales their release with the older episodes just as bonuses.
Long story short though: If you have super patience and or only want classic episodes, buy up the season sets and wait them out If you want to get the other eps in part earlier and like the current WB Scooby product buy the 13 Spooky Tales sets along with the season sets, as you might not be able to get those specials without buying those 13 Spooky Tales sets.**
** (I assume if you have a stake in the Scooby-related shows you may be swayed more one way or another but that is an issue brought upon us by the "as originally broadcast or riot" people lol)
EDIT Rephrase:
Not happy with how I phrased that part. But point being while I have no doubts the complete series sets are going to eventually emerge I am not sure those special direct to video specials are ever going to have a compilation release. Meaning while if you skipped all the 13 Spooky Tales dvds to hold out for the season sets, you may never be able to get those special episodes on disc anyway else. Which could pose a problem for a completest.
It might also pose problems if people who are collecting bigger than Scooby waited out those 13 Spooky Tales sets as they wanted the sets that will be combined with the apporpriate other shows. But then some of them might not care about missing new WB Scooby episodes. And given there are such divides I can't consciously just mention one way without taking other perspectives into consideration when people ask about this.
