Really nice episode. Though I don't understand, how could the townsfolk take Scooby for Arlene?

Great episode. I always thought it was funny when Shaggy said "Like maybe its her birth sign. I was born under a hospital sign myself"

Really nice episode. Though I don't understand, how could the townsfolk take Scooby for Arlene? I didn't get that either, but it was comical.

Really good episode. Surprisingly it dealt with a serious topic in this case witchcraft, especially for a 1970's kid cartoon, even though it did it in a fairly silly way. The Witch's design was pretty freaky, I'll admit.

This was a decent and kinda scary episode. The gang's friend with the witch was a cool plot idea

I liked this one quite a bit. One of my top episodes from season 3 for the historical plot

For me, this is the stand out mystery of season 3 - and by quite some margin. This episode has slowly risen to be one of my very favourites of all time and a tradition every Halloween.
The episode seems extremely serious in tone, compared to the rest of the season and the historical plot is pretty riveting. The Witch, herself, probably isn't one of the most memorable monsters the gang have ever faced but the town of Salem is certainly one of the best ever settings. As the case wears on, it starts to seem like the gang are back in the 18th Century as the towns folk turn into a bigger danger than the Witch herself. It all works well in creating such a classic atmosphere and results in my favourite episode since "A Night of Fright is No Delight"

Though I don't understand, how could the townsfolk take Scooby for Arlene? Honestly, though I guess there's a little resemblance between them, even the witch and Arlene didn't look "identical" to me as everyone in the episode kept saying.

I liked this one quite a bit. One of my top episodes from season 3 for the historical plot I've watched this one a couple of times this week (Wedding Bell Boo's vhs came in the mail and this is on it), and it had been probably a couple of years since I've seen this one (odd because I am a fan of this one). With that being said, this is quickly becoming one of my top episodes of the series and could be rising up my all time rankings. I will agree with Moonscar on this one because I constantly see people talking about how this witch is one of the creepiest villains ever. I just don't really see it? She's too brightly colored or something, but I've always found the Ozark Witch far creepier. With that being said, the episode itself is pretty darn scary. The witch hunters coming after Scooby and Arlene and using torture methods to try and make Scooby confess that he is a witch makes this a really dark episode

Classic Scooby-Doo and VHS are such a nostalgic recipe as I used to have all my old favourites recorded from Cartoon Network. Just out of interest - is it the original version of To Switch a Witch on the VHS or the remastered version?

I just started getting back into collecting vhs because I found it so nostalgic. I believe it would be the original version. I can't say for sure, but it does not really look like a remastered version

To Switch A Witch was always one of my favorite episodes of the series.
And I watched my copy of that vhs many times as a kid.

Plot: I said that the Ozark Witch is my second favorite witch after Sarah Ravencroft. Well, this is my favorite witch-themed mystery after the witch's ghost. I love this episode because of its creepy atmosphere, the haunting Salem setting (the dark and sad history of this place always intrigued me), and the humor. I always laugh with the villagers who accuse Scooby of being a witch. The mystery was also great with Arlene's family backstory and secret twin sister. All-time classic for me. 10/10
Monster: Another neat witch ghost. She was quite scary, I think. Also, she was haunting a graveyard and not a cave or swamp, which made her even creepier. 10/10
Finals Score:10/10
