I don't understand why anyone would want to take out one of the 5 main characters of the show. All 5 of them together make up the show. I don't think any of them could be replaced.

It's a hypothetical question. It's for fun/to cause discussion.

It's a hypothetical question. It's for fun/to cause discussion. I know it's a hypothetical question, but some people are saying that they actually want to get rid of a character. I don't see how that would make the show better to get rid of a character.

I don't see how that would make the show better to get rid of a character. I doubt there is a way it'd improve it. There's a reason these five have been around throughout the years. So I agree, it's weird to want them to actively be removed in future productions.

I stand by my answer of wanting to get rid of Scrappy by eating him on a deserted island.

Scrappy isn't even necessary. At all.

Looking at the SD and Scrappy-Doo series, Scooby and Shaggy would have just ran away from most scenarios if it weren't for Scrappy. I didn't think he was all that annoying. So, I wouldn't take him away from that series. But Where Are You, What's New, The SD Show, A Pup (Scrappy wouldn't have been alive then anyway), etc. work just fine without him.

Yeah, but if Scrappy weren't there the writers would have come up with a way to make them confront the villains. Scrappy was just their particular method.

The shows with Scrappy wouldn't be the same without him. I actually liked Scrappy for the most part, so I wouldn't take him out of any show he was in. I wish he was never in "Scooby-Doo" (2002), but that's a different story.

Maybe I'd feel differently about it now, who knows?

Maybe I'd feel differently about it now, who knows? If you liked how Scrappy was in the old shows, you probably won't like how he was in the first live-action movie. But if you disliked Scrappy before and thought he was annoying, then you will probably be okay with how he was in that movie.
