CGI, digial drawing tools and computerised workflows really help. One of the issues with cell was what to do if you found a mistake, there was a lot of manual rework required which was expensive, and introduced the risk of more errors occurring so it would be easier and cheaper to leave small errors in, and once you have committed the cell to film then that made it even more expensive to fix. You can do the entire film in the computer, screen it, fix it, then master it to film/DVD/whatever

This is something I love about the classics, the animation mistakes were always hilarious! Like that one time in season 2 Scooby's hind leg turns green getting something XD.

I love it! It makes these shows that much more classic! True, about editing after the fact. The process was so time consuming, too. Wasn't it like 6 months of labor to make a single episode, back then?
