I have a few bones to pick with things related to Scooby: (These are not in any order, chronological (time) or importance). 1. Why on "The Best of The New Scooby-Doo Movies" do they call the first episode "Ghostly, Ghostly Town" when everyone knows it's "Ghastly Ghost Town", how could such a bad error be made on such an important dvd box set? 2. Why can the writers not just MAKE SURE they sync the writing, with things like early days etc. 3. How do they mix up which episodes are on which discs with dvd box sets? I'm not angry with it, just asking questions!

Why do they keep bringing out new boxes with mixed episodes from different series, instead of releasing series that hasn't been released yet?

Why did they release Season 1 and 3 of The Scooby Doo Show and not Season 2?

Why does WB keep releasing the same episodes over and over again and not unreleased episodes?

All great questions and I'm quite proud to have opened up such a big conversation:
littlebixuit i definitely agree that they should stop releasing things like Scooby-Doo's original mysteries etc, and I think that they just do it to make money and maybe make that money by exploiting people who don't really know alot about Scooby releases and stuff.
doo I totally agree and am, as I've said several times waiting for the second season of TSDS to be released. I kind of think now that they are trying to release the episodes with something else as there are only 8 episodes, like maybe they haven't got the rights to release all of the Scooby's All-Star Laff-A-Lympics episodes, or even TSDS ones.
Again SpiderScooby, I think they might not have the rights or something for things like The 13 Ghosts etc.

My biggest peave with Scooby is why the writers haven't sync'd up the shows, as you pointed out Daniel. I don't see how it could be that difficult. I mean, it's not like they can't watch a majority of the Scooby series, and it wouldn't be that hard to have someone or a group of people watch the shows and gather the info they need. I'd do it if they would hire me!
Another issue I have is why they made such big changes to Scooby, Shaggy, the gang and the Mystery Machine for Get A Clue. Did they really think that fans wanted to see major changes to the show? I think everyone involved with that show needs to get a clue!

Your biggest peave is exactly what I was getting at SA, thankd for agreeing with me! I also agree that the drastic changes were very much uncalled for and strange. Maybe they thought that that was what they had to do for better ratings or maybe to appeal to a younger audience?

It's possible that they created each show to appeal to the audience at that time, but what about those of us who have followed Scooby through the years? Maybe they didn't think Scooby would have such a huge following and they didn't think they had to keep the story line straight. I definitely think it was a huge flaw in the show though.
