What art style do you like the most?
I'd have to go with original Hanna-Barbera art style. It was very simplistic, yet it worked. The character designs, and Scooby, looked very nice and fit them very well. My second choice would be the style for the first four DTV movies. It resembled the originals enough while modernizing them, and it worked very well with the darker and more mature stories. Everything was so nicely detailed, including the backgrounds/locations the gang visited. I also like the "retro style" from "Legend Of The Vampire" and "Monster Of Mexico". It looked like the original Hanna-Barbera style so much, and was helped by the return of the classic music and old voice actors.
The current style used in the DTV movies also looks nice. It resembles the HB era art, while combining it with the darker and much more detailed styles of the first four DTV movies and Mystery Incorporated.
I don't really like the style used in "What's New Scooby-Doo". I hate the way Mystery Incorporated looks. It was one of many annoyances with that incarnation, the characters looked terrible and it didn't blend well with the use of CGI.

As I don't have particularly good eyesight I prefer a clear style like What's New or something crisp like SD:MI. I find the older cartoons sometime appear a little fuzzy and indistinct at times and often the quality of the cell animation was a bit off esp where they have reused bits of bodies to reduce the amount of work required.

Styles don't really affect me as to me liking/hating something based on how much money they had to draw it, has always seemed silly. To me whether it's on a lavish or shoestring budget it can all the same be something i like or dislike. I really keep that opinion in film as well, as i watch cheap budget movies all the same, and that also has never bothered me or made me dislike something compared to something with a bigger budget.
To me in this case, while i do have examples of shows i like or dislike, how they drew it was never a factor at all in whether i liked it or not.

I don't hate any of them, I actually enjoyed "What's New" and "Mystery Incorporated" very much. In this case, I was just talking about which art style you prefer, since they vastly differ in several of the incarnations. It doesn't really have any effect in whether or not I like or dislike a show. Had, let's say, "Zombie Island" been done in the style of "Mystery Incorporated" or "What's New", I still would have loved it.

I love the first 3 dtv style! I like the characters as adults and their clothes. Not Cyber Chase included because this one is animated by computer, and I prefer the classic cartoon technique. But if they make a series with the Cyber Chase style I'd like it so much too. The Get a Clue costumes are great for me, but the style is not the best (not bad, I like it too).

Well, it would have to be a tie between the SDMI style and the current DTVs. But I went for the latter, since we know that - sadly - SDMI is over...

I'm going to have to go with SDMI, although I really love the classic HB animation style.

Definitely the classic style, though the recent movies look good too. "What's New Scooby-Doo" was basically Warner's regular "house" style of the time. It looked like "Ozzy and Drix" or "Static Shock" or the Justice League stuff... At least the SD:MI style attempted to stay true to the classics. Daphne probably looked the best of the bunch there.

I generally prefer the original style. To me the somewhat darker colors and tones better convey a spooky atmostphere than bright colors.

The orignal HB era style appears sometimes fuzzy to me , I like it , but it's a bit fuzzy sometimes (then again this is coming from the girl who has to wear her glasses for pretty much forever , all the time.) The first four dtvs were a lot clearer to me (again glasses thing), and it stuck to the orignal a bit , just clearer really.

Current DTV style for sure. Original was good for the time but it was so glitchy (all cartoons were at the time though) voices came out of the wrong mouths, characters would appear walking between the other characters while they were supposed to be lost, only to continue being lost in the next frame, colours changed from frame to frame, faces morphed seemingly at random, there was a definite difference in texture between foreground and background and sometimes the reusing of footage was a little too obvious. I was born a loooong time after this was the norm so when I first watched it it just looked campy. I grew to appreciate it for what it was later but the current DTV style is mixed like what would have happened if they had access to technology way back when.
Whats new was ok but their noses really bugged me in that one, the nostrils just didn't sit right.

I loved noticing all of the mistakes! <3 It actually still happens today, in another cartoon I watch.

Always will love the original but if I had to pick I`d say the current DTV style.
