yes, in theory. but i highly doubt scrappy will be mentioned,. heck they didnt even mention his name is MI, when they showed his statue in the museuem. I mean if the creators of the series "after" Be cool are fans of The New Scooby and Scrappy Doo Show and want to revive it, Scrappy would be able to appear along with Scooby, Shaggy and Daphne. He could also appear with the whole gang as he has done before. But I think we are getting off-topic, this thread is for discussions of the new series, not any 'as yet to be made' series.

I think there's some over-estimating here. HB-"canon" is clearly still in effect in Scooby Doo. So whether or not we like changes that happen, i don't really feel the need to deal it as if each change is a "new universe" instead of just saying their whole universe is faulty.
The only bank breaking thing so far that i see HAS to be a new universe is MI. But that was conceived as a reboot for Cartoon Network so the fact they wrote around having to worry about stuff they didn't want to address, is not surprising. The Scooby wiki wants to give Get a Clue it's own universe, but i think that's more fans wanting to distance themselves from it.
On my old pal Scrappy, as i've said before. As long as these new shows keep conceived as being reboots for CN, i would have zero expectations for them to ever use Scrappy other than negative references. Those dtv movies and specials, now that of course is a whole other much friendly ballpark.
I feel like we are also walking around in circles at the moment because this show seems obvious in it's points, and that no doubt excites and disappoints different people. And some of us no doubt have hopes we get a good surprise we weren't expecting to come out of it. Precedent is seemingly handing us a mixed bag, but even if i have my doubts, i'm going to hope for the best. Scccccccccoooooooooooooby dooooooooooooooooby Doooooooooooooo!

mattprice is right. scrappy not being used for the foreseeable future. its either going to be the regular 5 or maybe shaggy and scooby as a duo.

ultimately. what we get is what wb decides to give us, nothing more. if the producers of scooby were fans of the 80s-era stuff we would have seen it by now. the fact that we havent. indicates they are not fans of that era.

Sorry, gang, but that's a bit utopian... Relatives haven't re-appeared in decades...

Well the movie line is very much having fun ressurecting old ideas and running with them. So i hope it's only a matter of time until we see a Doo Family Reunion themed movie. Maybe even a take on the Curse of the Collar storyline.
But technically while the last appearance of a relative in person would either be the Superstars 10 or HB's 50 Year Special. (or the live action movie if we count that) But objects with Scrappy's image have been used in a 2000s movie in non negative fashion and in the 2010s show in a negative fashion.
So i'd say the odds aren't that distant. How it would be done of course is heavily depedent on which team is making it. But given this series is more than likely now just CNBoot 2, I doubt they'll be touching doo family. Or if they do how bad in turns out after being "infected"(as i like to call it) by the network

i agree with doo, have scooby dixie and scooby dee have to investigate an old family house deep in the south, that filled with hifdden family heirlooms, somewhat similar to "boo Brothers'

That could work too... Though I find it a bit utopian...

There's of course many other takes they could do on previous ideas. But the series shows no sign of going away, so i would hope they would pursue an idea like that at some point. Especially in the modern climate, as more older material gets re-immersed in the market from it's pretty much captivity years from Cartoon Network, it's a good time to try new adventures with old ideas.
Another take off i'd like to see (even though they already recently did one with a major lit theme), is to do a movie based on "A Night of Fright is No Delight", especially with the whole And Then There Were None/Clue style theme. That'd be fun to see.
