The moment when you sit down and read everything you've been mindlessly skipping the whole time because of lack in time...and...you...see...it...all... SOOOO excited about Be Cool!! It's gonna be hilarious from what I've seen! The title of the first episode is neat, but I still can't belive it's coming out in few days! The teaser and trailer look awesome! I'm wondering though....Was it my impression or was Velma's voice changed? I'm really out-of-date on BC news so forgive me if I miss something obvious.

Yeah, jcb confirmed some time ago that Kate Micucci will be voicing her in this show, as well as the LEGO specials. Mindy Cohn will be doing her for the DTVs.

OKay, so here we go, guys! As you've heard, starting this Monday, October 5th,every night at 7 PM on cartoon Network they will be playing a new episode of "Be Cool Scooby Doo" for the whole week! My hope is that after watching a few of them, everything will suddenly make sense - why the designs are the way they are, why we've changed what we've changed (and kept the same) and how our approach to Scooby Doo will make the characters the most, dimensional, interesting and funny than they've ever been.
We've gotten the full range of reactions to the promos and art so far from "Love it!" to actual death threats! I prefer strong reactions to shrugs, so I'm happy to shake things up in Scoobyland. I sincerely hope all Scooby fans love the show, but I know that's impossible. All I ask is that you give it a chance.
Looking forward to your thoughts, good OR bad.
JCB

Wow, I knew people didn't like the show but I didn't realize it was that extreme! I wish people would give the show a chance. Way too many people are already hating on the show when it hasn't even aired yet. Thank you, JCB, for answering all our questions on the show for the past few months, it's very much appreciated. I am really looking forward to the new show!!

First two have just aired in the UK, put a quick review under each episode, hope to add a bit more detail later today (but not for the second episode for reasons I've put in the review) as well as reviews for the other episodes.

It took a couple of episodes, but the animation is growing on me. Chuckled a couple of times on the second episode. My kids like it too. That in itself is good enough for me. It gets my seal of approval.

I agree with Rudy2691 it took a few episodes to get used to, but for me the same thing happened with SDMI. I actually really like the animation. The series is my type of comedy! I love it, it's very "Bob's Burgers" or "American Dad"-ish

One thing I noticed is how the show features almost NO Hanna-Barbera sound effects, yet its' sister series "Wabbit: a Looney Tunes Production" is full of them, and that's a Looney Tunes series, not a Hanna-Barbera one! SERIOUSLY? Is it Bizarro Day at WB or something? Or maybe they're not using them because they're trying to go for more of a G-rated "Family Guy" feel with this show... The way Daphne is on this show reminds me a lot of Lola Bunny on "The Looney Tunes Show," except she's not stalking any of the male characters, she doesn't babble super fast, and she's not voiced by Kristen Wiig (thank god!) First they dumb down Fred like this on "What's New Scooby-Doo," then they do it to Lola, and now this. What next, Warner dumbs down Judy Jetson? But at least on the real "Family Guy" they looked a bit closer to their normal selves! They even got Frank Welker to voice Fred!

Having manged to catch another episode on YouTube there is a real good grove I'm getting, I might even try to write some fan fiction in the style of is soon - Saving Private Dinkley with the reappearance of Daphne's puppets.

Hey guys - I'm really, sincerely appreciating all the thoughtful comments and reviews, thoughts, criticisms, questions - everything! I'm glad that you're giving the show a chance and seem to be getting what I was talking about concerning how and why the new look helps us expand the kind of humor and character storytelling we're trying to do. What you've seen so far is the basic style and tone of the show. Like any series, some people will like certain episodes better than others, but I promise this show will just get better and better for you, these characters will grow and grow inside your hearts until their like best friends and stuff coming up will blow your minds. Thanks, JCB

I'm glad that you're giving the show a chance and seem to be getting what I was talking about concerning how and why the new look helps us expand the kind of humor and character storytelling we're trying to do. I wish more people would give the show a chance. Some of the reviews I've read on other sites have been completely bashing the show even though they haven't even watched it. Like, for example the comment you replied to on ScoobyFan.Net, the person insists "I have given the show a chance!!!!" yet they replied to it an hour and a half before the show had even aired. I think the issue is a lot of people just can't get past the new designs and feel that the show has been "ruined" because of them. Yet if they would just give the show a chance, most of the people claiming that you've "ruined" Scooby-Doo for them would probably end up liking the new series.
