No offense guy's, was a big time Phineas and Ferb fan but have you seen an episode of the previous Scooby shows? Lack of Scooby dialog? He's the main character though, love able talking food obsessed dog It's like we are forgetting what the series is really about. I liked A Pup Name Scooby Doo and all but it was probably my least favorite of the Scooby shows, all those random out of place musical acts and dancing. The new character sketches along with the music your talking about is a major turn off for me, the Animation in Phineas and Ferb is beautiful but why such little effort with the new Scooby show? I don't get it :/

The look pains my soul, but I'll reserve judgement on the merits of the product.
What hurts is that Each iconic show has it's Iconic look. WNSD and SDMI Did nothing inherently wrong with the look, just modernizing and strengthening it. Mystery Inc was quite nice really. I think this is why The offshoots that stick with a similar look do well, like 13 Ghosts, Scrappy shows, etc..., and those that don't, Get a Clue!, get the shaft. This is risky at best. Edgy, not sure about that.
You can't POSSIBLY make anything nearly as bad as Arabian Nights, so, I'm certain I can enjoy it, but, I want a WNSD or SDMI looking show after it to hit and hit hard. I still say it needs to be a modern Movies show where they have guest stars, lord knows Warner Brothers has actors in it's cloister, some of whom probably love Scooby and Ghosts... Scooby NEEDS to take on the Ghost Hunters shows of the world at their own game, sort of. It's just the natural progression.

I don't get it :/ I'm curious, considering all the many VERY different iterations of "Scooby Doo" for the past 45 years, exactly what IS Scooby Doo all about? At it's core.... They are a group of Teenagers... who through happenstance or word of mouth arrive upon or are summoned to investigate (usually the former) seemingly paranormal and mysterious occurrences often involving crimes of theft or intimidation or threats to business in either familiar or remote locations (that was where SDMI was somewhat different, It was in Crystal Cove mostly). These occurrences either trend in favor of hoaxes or actual paranormal encounters, or cryptid encounters. Their core skillsets are: Freddie Jones - Trap extraordinair, technical inclinations, world class stunt driver. Daphne Blake - Monster Kidnap Bait expert, may also have learned self defense, able to repeat HELP loudly for an extended period of time. Most likely will double for any female who is the focus of a mystery to lure out the perpetrator. Her other skills are to utilize her name and influence of her family to arrange trips or exert needed influence. Velma Dinkley - Technical Savant and Bookworm. If there's something to be built aside from traps or knowledge to be gleaned or revealed, Velma is the goto person. Main weakness: Does not wear contacts. Shaggy Rogers - simply the worlds greatest track athlete. Shaggy, for a human, has no known limitations on his ability to recede from the location of danger at top speed. This trait is also used to lure perpetrators to trap locale. See the Tim Conway episode where they face the Ghost of Fireball McPhane for the primary example of this. Along with Scooby, the worlds greatest processor of food into calories to burn. Also, he thinks outside of the box and sometimes comes up with a statement which will trigger Velma and Freddie to figure out the mystery. Scooby Doo - A dog with the uncanny ability to converse with humans without them fainting or even being surprised, Scooby is Shaggy's best friend and protagonist of the show. Aside from cooperating with Shaggy as tag-team bait, Scooby's primary skill is escapism. His dog paw nails and tail are able to be reshaped on the fly to unlock various locks and become tools to facilitate escape from trap situations orchestrated by the perpetrators.

I don't get it :/ I honestly can't stand Frank Welker as Scooby, so him getting less dialogue is a good thing for me. If Scott Innes had continued playing the character, I wouldn't mind him getting more things to say. I think Scooby's cuter when he speaks in broken sentences/words, instead of full sentances anyway. That always felt "wrong" in SDMI.

I'm very excited for this new project! Just a question, I know you can't say much but will the plot in general be similar to What's New or Where Are You? or something different, but keeping in line with the tradition?

We're going back to the original series - those five characters driving around in a van solving mysteries, but this will be a totally fresh, character-driven comedy. We haven't taken away anything from the original - only ADDED new things that will make it a richer, more dimensional, funnier, interesting show. Don't let the look fool you. This is the most multi-dimensional, fully alive, complex Scooby gang ever seen on television. It will be completely its own thing and, like Phineas, we hope to appeal to everybody from 2 to 99. It's everything you love about Scoob Doo - plus a whole bunch of new things you don't even know you love yet. I'm so excited about this show.

I am for anything that promotes Scooby. If this series captures some new fans to keep the franchise going, I'm game.

Wow Scooby looks... mentally handicapped for lack of a better word. Hopefully there is still time for a redesign and someone comes up with a better idea. Also I'm not sure I like the idea of the built-in timeframe (1 summer?)
Still looking forward to this until something solid comes up that proves it might suck!
