I used to watch it all the time! I never even questioned why the other members of the group weren't there.

On IMDB somebody put it well. They said to try and explain this movie to someone else. Treasure hunting, ghosts, escaped circus ape, Billy Bob, Sadie Mae, Civil War relics... All somehow connected into a very engaging adventure. It's silly, unrealistic, but it works.

Thanks to scoob16, I watched this movie today and I loved it!!! Scrappy was at his best behavior! In fact the mystery was solved thanks to him!!! What a cute little guy! Shag and Scoob as always were scaredy cats and the ghosts were really creepy. In the end... some ghosts just aren't fake! The Boo Brothers although dummies were hilarious and cute and my personal favorite was Shreako!! Nac nac nac!! Farquard's laugh just gave me the creeps! As for Sadie-Mae I found her annoying in a funny way and her brother Billy-Bob sure loves to shoot. The clue-hunt although dragged on a bit was cool since I got to see Scrappy in action like never before. I like him being all dynamic and goofy but this movie made me realise he was taking on the role of the rest of the gang. And when they were in too he wasn't needed.... Poor little pup...

Scooby hangs out with three Ghostly bumblers along with a gorilla, a wacky sheriff and some hicks in the cluster of a movie, Scooby-Doo Meets The Boo-Brothers. ENJOY!

Whyboy, I've never really had a problem with Scrappy filling in for the rest of the gang in Boo Brothers. Yeah, he explains all the clues but that's what made it fun for me as a kid. I was new to treasure hunts and clues. Being walked through them was what made this such a neat movie as a kid.

Watched this again today, and it holds up. Yes the Ditzy Southerners are a bit much, and the ape is just there for laughs and scares but on the whole it holds up.

Just noticed Shaggy has a "Born in the USA" poster on his wall at the beginning of the movie. A highly political song for a Scooby movie, though it was very popular in the '80s and everyone misunderstood it, thinking it was a simple rock-anthem praising America. If you listen to the lyrics or look at the album cover you realize it has a completely different message.

Does the sheriff say "just down the road a piece" or "peach"? Neither make sense to me.

"Piece" makes more sense then "peach" so I'll go with the first.
