I too love this movie...which is a little odd since I tend to not enjoy Scooby projects/shows/etc where the monsters are real. I really don't like Ghoul School, reluctant Werewolf, Boo Brothers or Goblin King for examples. Not too crazy about 13 ghosts of Scooby either, but that's more due to Scrappy and Flim Flam (but Vincent Price adds a few points)

Darkest Scooby until SD:MI, period. Hence, you know that I like it! A tragic side note, of course, was Mary Kay Bergman's (Daphne's voice) death by suicide. She was very good as Daphne, though Grey DeLisle has surpassed her, in my opinion. Ironic that it took Bergman's death to get DeLisle...

Yeah, I loved it. There’s just a much more sinister tone to it and the darkness is far greater than anything Scooby-related before it. I was really surprised just how strongly the death is implied – with the villagers being chased into the alligator infested river, the hundreds of people drained by the werecats and, obviously, the cat creatures melting on screen. It’s very well written and balances the seriousness with humour very well also, there’s some lovely music written for the film – I particularly like the theme that appears throughout the film, this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyNBNoWkp-g#t=8m11sAlso, there’s the fun songs: Ghost is a Fake and Terror Time.

Zombie Island is 15 years old this year. Part of me wants to say that makes me feel old, but then again I also feel that "it's only been 15 years...feels like its been longer than that" I remember the day it came out and buying it on VHS at a mall based video store called "Saturday Matinee" that a few friends of mine worked at. I also remember upgrading to a DVD copy the day that was released too. (Now where's the Bluray upgrade WB???) I do have a 27X40 theatrical sized poster for Zombie Island framed and hanging up:

I'd have to say that Zombie Island is my favorite Scoody-Doo movie, by far. It actually seemed to have alittle "fright" to it when i was a child.

Thanks for the welcome Doo! I had been on Scoobyaddicts before, but sadly after a few years i had lost my password to my account and had to start anew.
