I recently noticed after buying "Danger in the Deep" that CN cut a bunch of scenes out from all airings (even the first airings) of SDMI Season 2 (none of the cut scenes were on the original airings I recorded). The more noticable cuts are from "Grim Judgment" and "Night Terrors" (Night Terrors was extremely noticable, about a minute of footage is cut from the beginning of the 3rd act).

Interesting. I have the episodes from iTunes, but not the DVDs....what was cut so I can let everyone know if the iTunes versions are cut or not?

I'll have to watch some of the eps again to make sure I'm correctly telling you what's cut, but here's one example: In the beginning of the third act, a close-up of the Burlington Library is shown. Scooby shivers down the hallway, whimpering for about a minute or so. In the CN version, it is just cut to Scooby calling for Shaggy, and about 45 sec or so of footage is cut.

Judging by the small amount of time trimmed off, it's probably so Cartoon Network can air an extra network bumper or inhouse commercial...you know, so they can remind us to death that they have this show called Adventure Time

Combine how they actually showed the villains being taken away in police cars in the bumper/commercial DURING an episode and BEFORE the gang had even caught the villain, with this and it shows how little CN is concerned with SD:MI.

I'll keep hoping there's such a thing as "How are you, Scooby Doo? " in production or something else. SDMI just didn't do it for me on the Second season. First was brilliant. Second... eh. It can save itself by wrapping up the Original Mystery Inc storyline and putting an exclamation point on it. Ofcourse, if I recall, the one with the bird etc is NOT the FIRST Mystery Inc either... just the previous one.

Wasn't the team before Pericles, et al, and those before that called the Benevolent Lodge of Mystery Solvers?

At first I thought "Oh, they're probably cutting it due to violence!" (CN's had a nasty habit of editing similar violent stuff out of old Looney Tunes reruns on occasion.) Then I read what was cut, and it stumped me.
