With the long delays and the horrible timeslots, do you think CN hates SDMI?

I think they do. I think they show their stupid shows because they get more ratings and SDMI gets a crappy time slot.

Yep. I'm betting it got low ratings, so CN decided to give it a bad timeslot because they didn't care anymore.

Its kind of a vicious circle. The ratings are lousy, so they give it the barest of minimum for attention and promotion, but if they promoted it like Adventure time or Regular Show and gave it a prime timeslot, it would get better ratings.
CN always favors it's in house Projects opposed to it's licensed ones. Thundercats got a worse deal than MI did. And DC animated shows got booted out of prime time to sat mornings. If Clone Wars wasn't a ratings juggernaut, it probably would be ditched to the land of forgotten toons too...but notice how they aren't even showing reruns of it over the summer.

I don't know; last year they acted like it was their sister show with "The Looney Tunes Show," but now not so much. I certainly hope no anti-violence group has been protesting about the extreme violence, sexual innuendos and dark matter of the show! (Sorry, I recently re-watched the old Simpsons episode where Marge protests against the similar extreme violence on "Itchy and Scratchy." Hmm, this is giving me an idea for a fanfic...)

Don't forget, it takes quite a long time to turn over a half-hour episode. Back in the days of broadcast Saturday morning cartoons, an episode of Scooby Doo went from story to television in six weeks and cost about $75,000 per. Today, an episode of SD:MI could take anywhere from three to eight months to complete and could cost up to $800,000.
If CN is unhappy with SD:MI, they've got to suck it up as they committed it to 52 episodes. That they're burning off fifteen episodes in a three-week span may indicate they are. Then again, that they're actually releasing episodes on DVD may show something of a leap of faith.

Yeah, it would. It would indicate also that Warner Bros. is losing money on the show. Or perhaps the daytime slot is because CN is jockeying it for a daytime Emmy next year since they've been shut out twice in nighttime nods.

I'm not sure they would press ahead with the cost of printing, packing and distributing disks if the show is already loosing money.

Scooby is an evergreen license and the DVDs, priced at around 20 bucks, always make money. WB most likely made their money off the show's order contract. I think advertising revenue, which is scaled by ratings, demographics, and time slot, goes to the network.

I think CN likes the Spooky Games episode better than SDMI. They sure act like it due to how much they air repeats of Spooky Games.

Yep. It seems that way.

It seems like CN doesn't care much for it, but it has to be doing well enough in DVD sales to warrant those coming out. CN can be pretty cruel (as far as airing times are concerned) to shows that aren't immediate and overwhelming successes.
