Superman issue had a Braniac or Luthor run-in i think and Supergirl well they learned her secret identity (Linda Lee Danvers as team-up takes place in pre-crisis continuity given the corny super friends stuff) and protected it. Scooby likes Supergirl, so does Shaggy. Scooby temporarily became Krypto. The idea is if Linda Lee Danvers knew her Super pooch was a coward then "Supergirl" might question telling them a key secret...as surely a superdog wouldn't be scared of little things.

i've moved things ahead slightly, to where they are entering the restaurant. freddyu and his group are hunting down the jewel thieves after all, or at least trying to clear the gang.
