It has been rumored (don't get too excited, I found this on Wikipedia.) that Scooby Doo will appear on a commercial for CN's Stand Up To Bullying. In case you are not familiar with the program, CN is currently doing a lot of ads trying to get kids to stand up for others when they are being bullied. The ads often involve characters from TV shows broadcast on CN currently telling kids to stand up for people who are bullied (I think the current commercials include the characters from a show called "Level Up.") Anyways, Scooby (according to Wikipedia) is going to air on one of those ads.

That would be great if they did that. Hopefully it's for real.

Scooby would be a great character to have on one of those ads, but I almost feel like they should use real people and not cartoon characters. Cartoons being bullied is different because kids know they aren't real. Look at Charlie Brown. Between Lucy moving the football every time he tried to kick it, No one wanting him to ever go to their parties, No one sending him Christmas cards, him getting nothing but rocks for trick-or-treat...he probably would have done harm to himself if he were a real kid. But he's a cartoon, so everyone finds it more funny than mean.

It was a hoax. When the Wikipedia admins asked the person where he got this, he answered "CN told me privately they were doing this!" It was decided this info was untrue, so it was deleted.

It was decided this info was untrue, so it was deleted. "Untrue" might be a little strong of a judgement in that case..."unverifiable", absolutely. That would result in the same removal procedure. I agree with above that while I would love to see any new Scooby material, I'm not sure he's the right spokesperson for this campaign.

Yeah, that's a touchy subject, because Shaggy and Scooby would have to stand up to Fred, Velma and Daphne about being Bait, though they do stand up to them, and then give in from bribery.
