What I found in the original series, it was easier to make Scooby do things because he's the dog and it's easier to sacrifice an animal than a human being. They love him, as they said in "Decoy for a Dognapper", but it's easier to see when you read between the lines, like people do with Fraphne. You can call a ham sandwich a shoe if you stretch hard enough, I don't think they wanted him dead.

No, he sends out the dog. I know there's a logical reason for sending out a scent-hound, but they come off cold sending him out, for all they know to his death.

...like people do with Fraphne. That was below the belt.

Yes, why single out Fraphne, why not include Shapne and all the other ships? It's also a logical fallacy in the your original post (Composition/division I think)

Well with every ship people probably can read too much into things.
But Fraphne is at least Canon in the DTV's and Mystery Incorporated. She did get really Jealous in the Halloween episode in WNSD. So thats been at least shown. Now granted every time she hangs on to him Fred when she's scared and stuff. Yes people can read too much into that. But im not even counting that stuff.
At the end of the day it's not that big of a deal. All i'm saying is it's not like Fraphne is/was created out of thin air. haha.

It's also a logical fallacy in the your original post (Composition/division I think) It seems like you're making something of nothing. At first I was going to say about Shaggy being a stoner as well, but I didn't, and don't know why it makes a difference with what I went with. It was just something I chose in comparison. Like, it's no big deal, man.

Like, it's no big deal, man. I used Fraphne as an example and not Shaphne, because I was talking about the original 25-episode series. What is there to read of Shapne in the original? Doesn't look like anything to me.

Shaggy and Scooby are always forced into being the bait despite saying no because it's a running gag. That's been around since the beginning.
That's all there is to it. This. I love scooby, love discussing it, but sometimes people think a little too hard about it. Like another comment on this thread said you can call a shoe a ham sandwich if you stretch hard enough lol

If so, then I guess anything is plausible. I agree, though, Shaggy and Sooby are bait. They just reference it every single time now.

Maybe at first Shaggy and Scooby being expected to jump from the Mystery Machine on a train already in motion may be a little thoughtless of the others (Fred: "If you don't make it, it was nice knowing you!"), but then you have to remember they do crazy stuff all the time.

But Fred had to man the traps and is stated to be the second slowest runner after Velma.

They can never be bothered to check the noise out for themselves.
